Excellent find today while I was driving home. Havenā€™t heard good female choir like this in a long time perfect for October.

Check out ā€œOnly in Sleepā€ by iSing Silicon Valley and Mia Hamilton on Amazon Music. https://music.amazon.com/albums/B08FTL5R7P?do=play&trackAsin=B08FTM8V2H&ref=dm_sh_grPm1xNW2PuB6wjqUbc5bodkj

@11_Clouds Listening to it right now on Primephonic. VERY
nice, thanks. Also several SATB versions available with various choirs. I conducted for years, but never ran across this one.

Ive yet to listen complete, had to Shazam it in the car. I was in the 98 class of the Iowa Ambassadors of Music (sang choir) really enjoy the haunting sound, reminds me of the basilicas we sang in in Italy

Wonderful. I sang in the UW Wisconsin a capella choirā€¦but we never toured Italy!! Wow. I always enjoyed conducting the womens groupsā€¦just a unique sound.

Just a heads up on another choral piece I think youā€™ll like.
Lux Arumque by composer/conductor Eric Whitacre. The resolution to major near the end is gorgeous! I have it on my evening (before bedtime) playlist. :slightly_smiling_face:

I was afraid someone would say that. Theyā€™re not cheap! That said, Iā€™m in the mood to splurge lately, and Iā€™m thinking that instead of fussing around I should just go for broke and get something endgame. I was thinking LCD-X, which seem to price a lot lower than the HD800 on the secondary market.

Please excuse me for frightening you with the HD800S.
 :joy:

The LCD X ā€œCANā€ be a very, very good headphone ā€œIFā€ it is tonally tuned correctly.
In my experience, I have rarely heard two equally tonal, identical headphone models from the Audeze portfolio out of the box.

In addition, I usually enjoy classical music for a longer period of time, which is why the LCD X would be too heavy for me over this period.

The Sennheiser is extremely comfortable and suitable for long-term use, and it also presents a stage performance that is particularly suitable for classical music.
It is, so to speak, my concert hall under my headphones.

I get that. My Senns are remarkably comfortable, and yes, I often have them on all day.

When was a kid my mother took me to a PDQ Bach concert, and I was delighted. It was so much funā€¦and also the music was terrific.

One thing Iā€™ll never forget was a really beautiful and oddly hysterical piece of music about addiction to coffee. Afterward Schickele turned around and told the audience: by the way, that was JS Bach, not PDQ. That was real. It was cool the way he slipped it in.
