Alpha Omega IEM's Thread

I’ve heard both takes on the RA; some say it’s smooth and laid-back, while others find the treble has some bite. Makes me wonder if it’s just personal tuning preferences, source pairing, or legit unit variation.

There have been variations in units. Mine is the one with bitey treble while a friend owns one which is not that forward. He sent his back for readjustment.

For some people treble is 4k, and for some it’s 12+khz

I once read in some review upper mids being 1k and treble 2k+.

Yeah, that’s interesting; actual unit variation plus how people define treble differently makes it even trickier. Guess it’s no surprise that opinions on the RA are all over the place!

Many think that upper mids and treble mean that sets has alot of treble and air…

Fin to read impressions where folks call IEMs airy, and we look at measurements and it’s almost nothing in the upper treble.

Yeah, that really highlights how subjective these terms can be and how important personal perception is in describing sound.

Just checked it out. Brilliant! Adds air and a bit more treble sparkle which I always felt was missing from the Ra

Thank you a lot! Im glad you like it!

I see so few people use low and high shelf filters on bottom and top extensions instead of peak filters

Now I just need a RA!
