awesome pick dude, the closed back winged ATH are sooo good, criminally underrated headphones.

keep in mind there are a ton of pads that fit these headphones, including the offical ATH pads for other winged models (like the HP2000z pads), the yaxis are very good for some models, but for $60 they may not be the best for the ones you own, I suggest buying from amazon so you can return them if you dont like them.
I just saw the price of the Yaxi pads after i replied to you, $60!!! Thatās half the price i paid for the used 990. I think Iāll pass

briliant, got ad2000x for Ā£133.30, opened - barely used, itās a mental price for them in 2026, seller wanted to get rid of them no time to use them, and i have been tracking them for 10 years+, always astronomical price.. jesusā¦ 300 to 700+ :d ā¦ gonna compare them right away with my current favourite ath-r50x open back, i bet they on par, or ad2000x slightly brighter, will pair with warm dac k13 r2r , giving up to 1.2 watt via single-ended socket, it runs real fun with sundara balanced or unbalanced, and easily with r50x + k712 via unbalanced
