Talking to @Veritas here, only he needs to worry for his wallet
at the moment
oh thank god…
What happened to “saving up?” Love it!
I have been interested in the whole R2R thing lately too. I can’t wait to hear your comparison to the D90. It’s like a R2R, Delta sigma showdown.
I mean other people can totally save up… I endorse it. lmao I can’t think of another DAC I want to try aside from the Ares… I have yet to hear any REAL differences in DACs that seem worthwhile… so if this thing doesn’t do it for me… I’m just settling with the D90. We’ll see what happens.
Side by side I couldnt hear any meaningful difference between a D70 and a d90, for sure. And I’ve never done a side by sides with them, but I’d be surprised if I could hear big differences between other Delta sigma dacs I’ve also tried in the past either.
I’m really excited to hear your impressions…in 6-8 weeks.
I listened to Audeze iSine 10 and 20 and couldn’t get why I’d pay more for the 20 (apparently I wasn’t the only one). And yet as I own the 10s I wonder…
Yep! This! Haha
I also wonder about that with my turntable
What if I choose the ortofon instead of the grado cartridge
They seem like they are VERY similar… different impedances… might be a bit amp dependant. So who knows.
I´m fine… if there weren´t dancing vu-meters and funny colored jumping EQs or wooden handcrafted masterpieces with oxidating metal grills
The 20 also has a different driver so that changes things
What happens when you have it all… and ur ears cannot take any more of anything and body cannot take any more vibrations?
pleasure becomes pain…
Then you know, you have reached the limit. No need for more.
Then you learn to love the pain.
Therre is a sort of fetish aspect to this, isn’t there?
I was switching them a lot and couldn’t tell at all. Anyway for what I use them for they are amazing especially for what I paid. And I’m gonna grab a VR cable when I decide which to get this spring so they were be very convenient in that sense.
