The one in the middle and right are using recesed 2 pin shrouds on flush 2pin sets.
Lotta folks do it but the premium price sets shouldn’t.
Especially when the imply the cable is specialy made for that set.
That shroud is designed to enhance the integrity of the 2pin which is a very weak and fragile design.
Also passive radiator?
I’m a basshead. I know what that means
The slave driver has to be under the complete control of the Master/Active.
It’s a 1:1
The passive rad cannot do 2000Hz or 3,4,5,6,7,8,9000 etc
It only works with a low end driver (Sub woofer)
If the Faith Audio is a 1/DD then it’s a full range driver feeding the whole replay to the rad which it cannot do.
These dudes are dipshits
Yeah, I was proud of him today. He held up good. Kid turned 3 last month and the next youngest kid is 5. He’s got a hill to climb and he’s gonna go
This continues to baffle me with premium sets. Even with the $300 and up ones to be honest. It’s really prenny pinching to squeeze out every last delicious dollar/euro/yen etc. And disappointing where Dita is concerned IMO.
There will be people coming out to defend them regardless
Edit: I love how they cosplayed for the kids btw (I assume that’s the reason).
Yeah, kinda concerning actually.
We just gave our very pricey table to the inlaws because Kai hit the corner in a WWE type flying headbutt..he was airborn and had his arms out and everything. Disassembled that table immediately and bought a cheap round one. He gets a little taller and door knobs are gonna take his head off so thinking about how to deal with that.
Adrenaline junky is an inherited thing? it seems so.
Had several comments on Youtube about “Glad they fixed the issues with OG Arete”
What were the issues ??
Tuning isn’t “issues” Are people just trolling him or was it QC stuff?
EDIT: Talked with Linsoul and Fresh…it’s just “Noise”
Glad everyone in the hobby is still rolling like babies with diaper rashes
Can relate to that. Did a similar thing as a kid with the tabletop being a rectangular slab of solid marble. Hit one of the corners. It’ll get better eventually (speaking from experience) but that does little for the time being of course.
I got a comment on the video saying that a particular 3500 set does it because they want their customers to be able to use their cable with other sets
I don’t need to have a fully recessed 2pin cable on a semi recessed set for flexibility. Larping simp. I replied but it wouldn’t post. The comment was deleted while I was responding
The level of soulless shilling has reached shameless levels
Lotta people clearly don’t even listen to music. That’s how targets get annual adjustments. The market is teaching them. The tail wagging the dog
That’s a new level of copium. As if those customers wouldn’t be able to afford additional cables. At least whoever posted that had the common sense to delete it.
Absolutely, if they really wanted flexibility then they’d use MMCX…if not then supply the right fucking type of two pin housing that fits the shell you’ve manufactured….
I’ve broken enough MMCX connectors to the point that I hold an unreasonable amount of hatred against them. I’d rather shit my hands and clap than use MMCX again.
The Pentaconn connector I like. It’s a bit sturdier than MMCX. I wish more brands used those.
Only ever broken one MMCX in 10 years, a XINHS custom Z1R cable which was down to the fact that the MMCX connectors themselves were apparently made out of chocolate!
This reminds me of the “Nigerian price” scam emails. All the obvious typos and implausible scenarios were deliberate so they didn’t waste time and only had to deal with the most gullible of people who ignored every red flag thrown at them.
They don’t want to sell to people who might write critical reviews or return them if they underperform. They want to net the people who have enough money to buy blindly and either keep it to themselves or spread good reviews because they’re so far out of wack with what value in the hobby looks like that they can thrill to any tuning or performance level. The same people would never buy the cheaper/better one or realize it exists because the price tag was what helped them figure out this must be the “best” and they’d get no kick from a smaller more practical purchase. The price /exclusivity is part of its appeal to them.
TBH if both sides get what they want, they can have at it.
It’s too pricey to accidentally disappoint a critical listener who is making big financial sacrifices to improve their audio experience. If it was $500 and sounded no better than an EW300, they’d accidentally sell to enough people who know that and care about that. Lower volume of sales but higher chance of retaining the full revenue and fancy reputation.
For some reason I seem to be very adept at messing the up the pin in the middle… I’ve had it happen at least 4 times. It was on 3 Dunu sets and 1 Fiio.
