Nah, man, we start next week! They should be able to keep the treatments isolated to the shoulder. We’ll see! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: The Orthopedic surgeon has already warned me it’s gonna hurt. I’m ready.

I still feel you should give it a week or 2, but if they say you are good to go. Ig that’s that.

Let us know how it goes :flexed_biceps:

I’ve always been aggressive when it comes to these things. If it’s too much, I can back off a bit and give it a bit more time. Gotta try it, though. It’s a challenge.

Wow that was crazy, I know ribs are painful but they do recover well :+1:
Between me and Mrs Ohm we are shoulder ā€œexpertsā€ lol, I’ve had a severe rotator cuff tear I should’ve had surgery on 12 years ago when I tore it but numpty here though it would recover in it’s own in time, it didn’t and lead to dislocating twice since then. I’m now very careful and use my right good shoulder to do all the lifting work etc when I can.
Mrs Ohm has had a steroid injection on one of hers which didn’t work, followed by corrective surgery once recovered she had the other side done. Both work fine now and she is pain free. I really hope you can get yours sorted out quickly one way or the other because we both understand what you’re going through, good luck brother :folded_hands:

Copy that, thank you, man. I’m very happy to hear that Mrs. Ohm had a good outcome. I gotta say this cortisone shot didn’t do what I thought it should, but it’s early days. And this is the first of a series of three. I felt it was the reasonable play, as surgery is a bit tricky with me given my history with anesthesia. But if I gotta, I gotta. A thing like this imposes serious quality of life issues. So it’s got to be dealt with one way or the other. Can’t go on like this.

Meanwhile, on the audio front, I believe I have come to a decision. I am going to go with a new preamp. Time for this SA-1 to go. I was going to go with the Schiit Freya, but they have raised the price to a fucking grand. I’m disappointed in that, and I’m just not gonna pay it. Also, do I really want to fuck around with tubes in 2026? I don’t think I do. So it’s looking like the Schiit Kara F for me. I may order it up next week, even though I won’t be able to install it for a while. I’m excited about it, actually.

Same here, hope you’ll recover soon (and that they’ll listen to you next time instead of shrugging it off).

Been shot and stabbed and broken lotta bones but a fully separated shoulder which occurred while throwing a punch drunk is the Summit of pain for me

I was black out drunk and became instantly sober. That didn’t happen when shot and knifed and those were drunk drug events too
I can sometimes feel my shoulder rolling out of socket during some crunch core work

I don’t do behind the head triceps extensions anymore

Could be for the voicecoil? Copper is sometimes alloyed with beryllium to increase flexibility in springs etc.
Or by the same logic somehow doped into the diaphragm, to increase its stiffness - which might explain the ā€œpureā€ part - it could be a composite diaphragm, using ā€œpure berylliumā€ (not an alloy) as part of the diapgragm composite.

But it does just read like google translated hifi ā€œfever gradeā€ nonsense. But that can be said about native English speaking hifi advertisement writing too, to be honest…

Beryllium Coated, Beryllium Composite (even if one of the layers is pure beryllium) and a pure beryllium foil/layer/sheet are all different, with only the last one, Beryllium foil/sheet that can be termed as pure beryllium imo.

Indeed

That Bryce and Hooker set (Whatever cant remember who those 2 are)

Worst Ai slop ever and that’s native English speakers so…yeah. Your point proven :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Sprinting has never been a strong point, but I’m quite happy with this effort.

Thank you, Chris. I concur! I am no stranger to pain, but these last few weeks have been particularly brutal. But I’m starting to feel some relief. I feel like better days are ahead. :+1:

Truth spoken by the man who has been through it. This has been tough because my right arm has been taken away. Thank goodness I can do a lot with my left arm, but wow. I’ll get it back. It’s starting already. Just gotta do the work.

In terms of pain, this was extremely bad and is a very close second to when I broke my back. Just thinking about that one makes me cringe to this day! Hell, I still hurt from that adventure every day. But the actual event was indescribable.
