I would imagine a solid resin iem could shatter or crack from that drop and change in sound for sure.
One segment of interesting video about the history of house music and becoming of the acid house movement with using Roland 303 for something that it wasn’t meant to be used. Many people probably never even heard of these guys.

A morning wake-me-up ride, then a little race around Paris and Montmartre in the afternoon.
A longer ride with more climbing tomorrow.
Plunge uses 3D printed nylon which is produced from a powder hit by lasers and is tough as fucking balls. The video is stupid but also, those iems are nearly indestructible. They could just state as much of course without the bs.
Ugh. Another bad night. It’s tough being awake while the world around you sleeps. You would think I would be used to it by now, but you never really get used to this. Thank goodness for the music.

On a positive note, my preamp might get delivered this afternoon. Looking forward to that!
I feel your pain brother, I dislocated my shoulder again on Tuesday so it’s back in a sling again and a right pain to sleep in ![]()
Hope you feel better soon ![]()
15k???
for the same iem but just a few upgraded components in the name of 10th AE??
![]()
This is upgrade, not a standalone, so this model is technically worth 32k$ to them ![]()
never expected this from Brise.
Upshot may be that if owners start offloading Fugaku instead of upgrading, used market may come down a tad? Most of the chatter I saw from Fugaku owners around the news was that the upgrade price wasn’t worth due to the initial buy-in so they’d just sell and re-buy the 10AE if they felt the need to get it.
Edit: I have no skin in the game since I have no interest in a set that requires a special setup and it’s outside of my willing-to-spend range anyway, so I’m just here to see when the market decides that enough is enough.
The standalone is 25k, just checked. It doesnt make sense to get an additional 15k from the existing owners. The Price doesnt make sense at all.
The 10th AE upgrade service is an absolute joke.
I actually think Ibuki sounds better than Fugaku and was thinking of selling Fugaku which is probably going to drop a bit.
Still going to sell Fugaku though. Ibuki gets most of the listening
They can probably harvest the internals and put it in other future sets.
The trade in isn’t really treating the flagship customers who paid 15,16k USD very well
It seems like a material harvest/ poor PR move.
My Fugaku is probably going up for sale this O bon holiday
Harvesting parts for something that expensive.. jfc.
MJ recording for they don’t care about us
