You are formed by your own experiences in life. And I often forget how sheltered some people are when talking about sensitive subjects.
People often have trouble with my stance on religious expression and extremism. Until I show them the story of how my niece got indoctrinated and ended up an accomplice in trying to blow up a train station, murder a high profile politician or trying to recruit kids into ISIS. (And after 8 years of prison, she still needs further deprogramming sessions). Same with mental illness and how my aunt with borderline has driven my grandparents into bankruptcy because of her antics. (And she’s smart enough to act normal when she risks collocation). I have several of those stories. Alot of other people do too. But some don’t, and it shows.
The reactions this Graham case is getting and how media outlets are treating it, is truly unsettling imho.
The closest thing to it among my friends is a friend who recently divorced his wife because of some truly disgusting stuff she did. When this was unfolding, she was diagnosed with some form of destructive narcissism (I’ve forgotten the exact name). Even with that diagnosis and the things she did, the judge ruled that my friend was not to be rewarded sole parenthood. So now his 2 daughters of 5 and 3 have to go to their mother every other week.
I was there a while ago when my friend had to go drop them off. You wouldn’t believe the ugly crying from those 2 kids. That broke my heart, not just for those kids, but for my friend too, because he’s going through that every other week now…
It doesn’t matter if Graham was lucid or not. She needs to be put away, forever. It’s insane that this even is a debate. I do not understand why the jury has trouble with this. I do not understand that more than a million USD was raised in her favor and not the father. I do not understand that people are still claiming that she didn’t kill her kids.

Winner: Pablo Torre
Torre was named in the first sentence of the report on the NBA’s findings. His independent reporting started this investigation and led to the one of the biggest punishments in sports history. He went after a billionaire for cheating the system, and he was completely vindicated. This ruling is an incredible victory for Torre, yes, and also for journalism. At its core, journalism isn’t about scooping a press release by a few hours — it’s about finding the truth, holding power accountable, and giving unbiased, verified information to the public. Torre did that by taking on one of the richest billionaires in the world and continuing to stand strong in his reporting despite a massive smear campaign against him. Hopefully, he inspires a younger generation of journalists to keep searching for the truth in a dying field.
Too bad Journalism doesn’t seem to get past the smear campaigns anymore.

ESPN seemed to get out of the business of journalism a long time ago, but their coverage of this story was lazy at best and flat-out dishonest at worst. This company once had Pablo Torre and many other great reporters on staff. Now all of their money goes to Pat McAfee and Stephen A. Smith. Torre broke this story, and ESPN’s reporters, with far more resources, never advanced it and seemed to spend most of their time covering up for a lying mega billionaire. ESPN’s bad coverage started with Ramona Shelburne’s softball interview with Ballmer shortly after the allegations broke. Go back and watch it now, and it looks totally pathetic for every party involved. Two weeks before the Wachtell report dropped, ESPN published a story with this headline:

I’m not afraid of heights.
In my previous job I spent alot of time on roof of fuel tanks like the image below (abt 30-35 metres high). In all weather, sun, rain, lightningstorm, frost. This was to time when to start and stop the pumps. Nothing was automated at the terminal where I worked. So I stood on the roof with the manhole at the top open and dip a measuring tape in it. You then write down the level and time of measurement, wait for a fixed interval, measure again and calculate how fast the tank is draining based on capacity table of that tank. You keep in contact with the pump operater over the walkie talkie and tell him when to stop. Even on loads of more than 5 million litres, I would be off by less than a 1000 litres this way consistently.
That said, no fucking way that I would ever try climbing one those towers.

Pretty sure there was an article not long ago about Jeanie Buss not long ago talking about how khawhi’s uncle was trying to get the Lakers to do these “under the table” deals in order to sign him. They def knew what they were doing and should have def gotten suspended.

I’m afraid of heights, although I live on the 3rd floor of a concrete block building on top of a hill, lol. I barely go out to the balcony. Hahaha. These videos make my head spinning and me close to panicking just looking at it.

I’m not afraid of heights, but I respect heights. I’m Five-Foot-Nothing, so the difference between say a 12-foot fall and a 20-foot fall is marginal, there’s gonna be damage no matter what. Anything over 20’ is basically a wash. I will climb things as needed (I regularly work in process plants and need to scale scaffolding and the like in the course of my work) but I make sure I actually wear a harness, properly, and utilize things like handrails, tie-offs, gates and three-points-of-contact. I only do it as I need to, I get no thrills from risking death or injury from on high that I can’t get from a reasonable proximity to the ground.

I know you mostly use CP100 but i get best results with some wide bore shoved in as deep as possible.
