It’s like you said, they charge it because they can and will continue to do so as long as there are people taking the bait. Having said that, I’ll be looking to give that Canpur a try if I get the chance.
Edit: just watch the planar vid and heard you consider the Canpur to be reference grade. Now I’m even more curious.
The 5700 set was the type that you could likely pick out the source, tubes on and off..DAC filter switches
(as an aside, I have seen quite a few reviewers say they cannot hear the difference between dac filters.)
Stop reviewing..you don’t have good enough ears.
I had to go online because one of the filters felt totally off. Discover it was miss labled..think it was FiiO or Cayin? That was the ability of 752 but it’s lifeless and I buy gear to enjoy music that sound “lifelike”
This 169 set sounds more lifelike than the flagship.
-5°C is kinda warm. We had -9°C on Tuesday and we were standing with my wife beside the ice skating ring for 1.5 hours because our 4.5 years old daughter had her training session. My knuckles were still red an hour after it.
Edit: we didn’t joined because we both can’t skate, and I had a project interview the next day, so it would not be thoughtful to broke any limbs before that. Also, our girl learned it for 4 sessions now.
Kai is going to his 2nd Wrestling class on Saturday.
The long sports parent journey is just beginning. Hope your family has a healthy and rewarding year.
Being a Dad can’t really be beat.
I was not interested in having any kids and now I can see how I nearly and intentionally skipped the best part of my entire life.
Thanks, and wishing you back! She’s training gymnastics as well, and taking swimming lessons, so it’s realey hard to keep up with her pace, but she enjoys every kind of sports. So, we support her as much as we can.
She started ice skating because she saw two girls figure skating when the ice ring opened and she said “That two Barbies were dancing on the ice, I’d like to do that too”
Agree 100%. You can definitely hear the differences. I once looked up what the filters actually do and that should definitely be audible. (think it was the M27 btw). The humidity and temp must make for a brutal combo.
Lotta folks get emotionally attached to gear or just hate my bashing of stuff.
You never do.
You know it’s just opinions and you have never come off as passive aggressive to anyone. MOD sees that stuff too. Makes them relax since adults aren’t gonna morph into children on a forum.
Forums are only as good as the members. If everyone was as level headed as you this place would be rocking.
If you are a lunatic in other threads I take that all back..
Thanks and great! It’s a shame Canpur is so difficult to get, especially these cheaper ones. Could provide a stepping stone for those just getting into the hobby at a decent price.
Yeah, it’s weird right? If you go their website, they list their own site as the seller for mainland Europe. Except, there is nowhere to order.
Maybe I’ll shoot a mail at them, or try to order from Elise. I am interested in the set. The Kiwi Cadenza and Dunu are my only acceptable single dynamics. The fit of the Dunu is terrible and it can be a bit exciting on top. The Cadenza is awesome, but I wouldn’t mind something with a bit more detail.
I don’t mind the wings on the Canpur, My Dunu SA6mkII has the same wings and they fit great.
Elise doesn’t have them, at least not for the time being. I checked their website but they focus on the four digit ones… Literally just tried to get them from Lanstar but they are sold out (they weren’t before but I had to do something else and by the time I came back they were gone). HBB’s review literally caused a stampede it seems
PS It might be a good idea to mail Canpur seeing they play up their Dutch roots.
