Looks great, and one of the first things that jumped out to me is it actually has recessions for the 2 pin connectors. Not flush, which few cables are particularly designed for Some nice assurance in that.

Yup…gotta buy that

@hawaiibadboy @shuoer Hello. I just want to make sure about “Kinda Lava unit variance” situation. I know you said that it was early qc issue, but super review’s unit, which he received on 24th May has the same issue as nymz’s copy. Precog also mentioned in his impression that KL has less sub-bass then OG M. Again I just want to make sure that im buying the 1st KL from HBB’s squig.

You’ll get my tuning :call_me_hand: :notes:
They had a batch that for reasons i do not know, were different. Several folks have sent em back for free adjustments.
I advised no review samples be sent till that is squared away but 1 was sent to Super.

Meanwhile…

Not ready for prime time at all.

It looks like a bassier, less-even Drop x Sennheiser HD8XX.

do you know if that’s the pre-production version or the one being sold? supposedly they sound significantly different

could be different rig variance but I do say those look very different

yeah, I remember zeos saying that he didn’t like them on the stock pads (and swapped for the Xenon pads) so he asked for the final version, said it was completely different and he stuck to the stock pads for the review
so I’m wondering if every reviewer got the pre-production version

That’s DUNU’s GRAS. My rig lines up with it perfect.

All the squigs are different.
That Harmonic dyne was measured 5 times. Only part to throw away is that sub bass tail. That is related to securing for a good seal. It was sometimes flat. Rest was the same every time

Likely unit variance + measuring device variance combined :ok_hand:

Mine arrived 3 days ago. It’s a production version. I have not listened yet.
I disagreed with everyone apparently since i thought ZEUS sounded like a boomy non detailed set that smeared bass lines and husked up male vocals too much. The treble was not great either.
I’m apparently a HiFiman and Modhouse fan though

I’m having to wait for my set as I’m in the middle of a relocation to Spain and don’t yet have a postal address. :sob:
But they will be the first thing delivered when I get one.

I tried the TI version yesterday. Definitely not the perfect conditions but :
-Sound quality is ok, but nothing exceptional for the price
-I don’t know what they tried to do regarding the cable, you don’t hook it over the ear, and as the fit is not great + metal weight, it just begs to fall.
-At this price, having a good cable but end with 3.5 is a bit surprising.

so… Sure they look good, but the non practical aspect kept me away from buying.

Hey chris @hawaiibadboy just saw your Moonlight video and was curious on how the Moonlight compares to the EJ07M in-terms of imaging and soundstage? I heard the ESTs sound better on the Moonlight even though the 07M has it doubled

That’s among 2 of the most vague descriptors
I’m ignoring layering feathering and downward compression etc etc.
Because they are production terms
and peoples ability to perceive is questionable/impressive <<Sarcasm

You kinda answered this yourself (emoji). It makes no sense.
I can see people liking the Moonlight more than EJ because of some reason but assigning that to dual EST being better than quad EST is a reach that is un needed. A wholly subjective conclusion. Enjoy the hobby, like what you like, but we are talking about spending $600+ of peoples money one way or the other with borderline gibberish.

Of course there was music you know with particular moments used to convey this claim…right?

Bassist and drummer @2:36 of “Sweet Leaf”
Bassist and lead vocal/lead guitar @intro/1st verse of “Sultans of Swing”
Cymbal strikes @ :07 , 13, 16, 28, 37, 41, 47, 53, 59 “Hey Hey what can I Do”?
Dual lead guitar " Freebird" closing dual solo (Live ver. Gaines and Collins)

Hows the imaging and treb on 1st 2 and last one?
It’s got a better DD and 2 is better than 4 EST. Really?
