Got my Tri i3 ($169) out just to give them a pity listen, been a while.
The balance of the entire frequency response is literal fecal matter. I’m once again reminded why they sit in the box.
I can however appreciate the clear and vibrant qualities (aside of tuning) of the planar driver taking care of mids.
The bandwidth of it seems huge. It allows for a good imaging budget because of it and separation especially is really good, it’s the planar effect. Elements fly around the stage effortlessly.
Makes me really excited for Timeless.
