Sadly, in my younger days I wasn’t into Led Zeppelin back then.

…but a mate of mine was a huge rock fan and dragged me out to a few decent gigs though.

Ramblings From The Past in Music.

Apologies, Mr. HBB, for crashing your thread. I rarely ever comment in forums (been a member of Head-FI since its inception and only recently posted about some new IEMs I purchased) so protocol was not sync’d with common courtesy. Mea Culpa…

In my defense, I feel a lot more connected here. I enjoy the extremely knowledgeable, technical and entertaining posts, again, when I can understand youse guys.

Thin Lizzy at reading rock festival (last British performance)
Queen with Freddie Mercury 6 Times got to meet the band in 84 in Milan

Bass must have nice impact and texture with that big driver, I’ll definitely have my eye on this set. That big driver is unique enough to justify the purchase lol

Wasabii says it’s not really a basshead banger…but I might take it for a spin

Facts, it’s a little bit of a novelty but f it, something new never hurt anyone

I’m personally not much a believer of the “bigger driver better bass” ideology. I am pretty confident that’s a reductive argument.

micro driver, lots of bass on the graph.
That tiny driver needs that bump and it still doesn’t sound bass…sounds weak cuz it’s a tiny driver.
Use a 6mm in your set and save space. And kill sales.
No reason not to use a 6mm…right?

Alas, such is physics!
The larger the driver, the more air it will pump. You won’t be able to see it on the charts, but the ear will hear it perfectly.
And if we talk about the vibration that the driver can transmit through the housing, then exactly 6-10mm will not transmit as much as 14 mm…
