How do you guys prefer to listen?
Dongle through phone
Dongle through computer/laptop
Straight via iPad?
DAP?
Curious how y’all operate, and why.
My findings is that IEMs somehow sounds cleanest & most immediate through dongle connected to phone, but has limited stage depth and note decay that way (due to not enough current?).
Still, probably my preferred setup.

Depends on the set tbh… mostly DAP or DAP > Hybrid tube or MacBook Pro > Micro iDSD also what type of mood l’m in that comes into play sometimes too.

Through my iBasso DX160 love that chip or Geshelli AKM J2 into Topping A90D for me is sweet.
Dongle/phone. That reminds me there’s apparently a firmware you can flash the tempotec sonata with to force it’s max power mode without having to trick it every time.
This one when not at PC thought the Qudelix is just awesome and lets me go wireless or tethered

Currently dongle thru iPhone using Qudelix 5k as I wait for my G5 to get fixed. Preferably I like LDAC / APTX HD for mobility via android but I lost my phone during my SG trip sadly.

Dongles, Bluetooth DACs, DAPs, portable combos, and even full desktop stacks/gear. Just depends on the situation and often on what sound or pairing I’m looking for. I love having options. 
Right now through my Cayin N8ii in a dark room for added ambiance and cool factor.

Generally my Centrance m8 v2 on bluetooth. For a sitdown session, plugged in through usb adds the little “it” factor that can get me truly lost in the music. Most of my music is streamed from Amazon hd, so the weak wifi characteristics of my Hiby r5 means it is barely used anymore.
Dongle through phone, usually an ifi go Blu, but I’ve been considering checking out a qudelix or M15.
This breaks my heart. It hurts to hear about animal abandonment. Thank you for helping out people who work to change this.

Is it just me or does the maestro sound very similar to mest 2 in your opinion?

Imho, everything depends on synergy.

It is tuned totally diff but like MEST II it plays my library like a champ, maybe a tad more forgiving.
Huge fan of SE and glad folks are getting theirs.

How would you describe the difference between mest mk2 and maestro se?
I’m new to maestro se so need to spend more time to burn it in or get my brain to learn all it’s strengths and weaknesses

MKII sounds more energetic with cymbals/high hats/ guitar with distortion also vocals
SE has a much more natural presentation of those same instruments IMO
And of course if we are listening to EDM/808/Hip hop the SE jumps to a new level MKII cannot touch
Even with Neil Young and a Guitar and a Mic it sounds more realistic on SE to my ears.
