Ok, I’m not trying to step into a broader political discussion, just as someone who looks at the market and studies it pretty much every day I saw the very real affect the pandemic had on the housing market and GLOBAL economy. All I’ll say as someone succinctly put in a song on youtube “the price of eggs does not equal the economy.” What I see is people mis-conflating the two very often.

If you have multiple kids and consume eggs …eggs are the economy
If you have a low carb high protien diet (like me) the egg is a part of the economy.
Macro economics are university classes and investor continuing education classes (life)
Individual economics is what drives individual votes.
I am not emotionally invested via party dogma and I live in Japan now.
I can talk Politics all…day…long
It’s a shortcut into peoples fears and flaws too.

Actually…yes.
Your personal economy/budget are impacted by cost of consumption and you are not importing eggs you are producing domestically. Less burden on your budget but more strain on domestic “Nominal” labor. If you sell some to your neighbors to fund the purchase of more to produce more eggs…

hmm interesting… On one hand i love their products and looking to get hands on one of their higher end models (Grand maestro) and on the other hand is the CS… but the GM seems like the endgame for me so im quite willing to sacrifice a little on the leadtime and maybe be a little lenient to them in that aspect… (Also, received my deuce today finally, cant wait to play around with it later tonight)

Ok, no one asked but my two cents: If you think that the US is full of hateful, racist, fascist people, then that is a problem much bigger than just an individual level, and the way to address the problem is to first and foremost focus on those things that cause the kind of countrywide distress that leads people to feel hopeless and then hateful. Right now, it seems pretty crystal clear what that is at the core of everything: most people’s actual, physical quality of life is in the shitter and it’s going down even more (this shouldn’t be surprising). Granted, I vehemently disagree with Trump’s approach, but he presented one and clearly so. The Dems did not, and instead they came out looking like GOP-lite. If I was already leaning GOP, I want to vote for the real fucking thing. And if I’m leaning Dem, the last thing I want to hear is that I am a bad person for asking for anything more than exactly what I am offered. So…here we are. It’s not cuz she was black, it’s cuz she didn’t talk about eggs enough. That’s not a joke.

Good luck to those people that think eggs are the economy when they are unemployed, like most were during the pandemic. Gas prices too high? All we need is another pandemic to shut everything down and kill millions (maybe the bird flu!) and we can finally have low gas prices again!

sounds like a pretty reasonable take. Honestly I have stopped giving a shit about politics for a very long time. IMO if I aint individually influential enough to spark certain changes I dont even bother. Best I can do is help people around me make mine and their lives easier and thats all.
Also agree here! Cancelling or shutting anyone down doesnt make things any better, a healthy debate is always necessary. Everyone’s got different experiences and views on everything, the world isnt black or white.

I mean, depending on which representative answers your email this could very well be the case.
Remember, I emailed Yeo about the engraving on my case and was told “Sorry, you fell out of the first 150 when we consolidated orders. You can still buy a case and we’ll engrave it for you.”
But when somebody else emailed Elsie about the same thing they got: “Oh, when we consolidated orders you slipped out of the first 150, but since we told you you’d be getting a case, we’ll get you one, what would you like engraved on it?”
So it’s probably dependent on who reads your email and how up-to-date they are on the current customer service policies.

It has happened several times.
