So I’m working on a review of Wayne’s Fir Audio RN6. A very nice set, but I was reading over the driver information. I wanted to know if you had a take on these drivers. Are they branded, unbranded? I just thought HBB or maybe Riku could give some context on it. Here is the information copied from Bloom:

Fancy term for what is just a regular DD being put here.
Kinda like what a BC (bass shaker type) would optimally be placedl, except a regular DD wont shake like that so looks like a meme to me…
(not mentioning anything else about the DD just assume it is a PET diaphragm (cheapest diaphragm available).)
That “opendriver” is just referring to the drivers not having any tubes that “seals” the driver. Doesnt seem like it is referring to the driver design being open by nature but just the implementation. This seems like borderline a scam to me as they name it like how you would with for example “Knowles BA driver for mids” implying that the “OpenDriver” is an actual brand where it is not.
As for that “electrostatic” driver, not a single word about it in the description, so I assume it is a Sonion “EST” (which is an electret, not Electrostatic, if it had an actual Electrostatic driver it would need an external transformer like the shure kse1500).
Not a single pic of the drivers either.
From a transparency standpoint, this is shitty af and worse than KZ. At least KZ usually have a driver pic or two. And this thing is 3 200 usd, shame.

I disputed, they magically started tracking three days later. Received today and think I got the “low rise” version? Bewildered.
Updated packaging is extra thin cardboard with double sided tape. 
The tape is very unnecessary as it’s a fold-in.

I am torn on the E20, it is good, but feel like it is missing the mid bass. The mid-bass tuck extends all the way down to about 150Hz, and I miss the meat in there. If you EQ it becomes a solid pick, and if I liked that tuning more I would probably have better things to say.
The Sivga Que has taken over my top recommendation for the under $100 spot. It is pretty similar tuning wise to the Olina SE, but the beryllium driver gives the bass some extra heft. The set it displaced for me was Artti R1. The accessories on the Que make it a way better value than anything in that bracket. I am even using the stock tips, which is rare for me.

Similar to Odyssey until the treble side. I was getting some Zempire vibes with the pelican case, too. Can’t wait for mine to come in.
Also I’m extremely curious about who Apevoix is. Pula Anvil 114 is out with a similar driver config and price point. Is this a Pula/Myer Audio situation with the PA02 vs CKLVX D41?
