Kiwi Ears Ellipse Headphones
I’d put this above Hidizs and Fatfreq in accountability.
Both mentioned companies just let it ride and ignored inquiry for a long time.
Softears has not said anything about the new twist passive rad called a dynamic driver.
It’s not.
It’s not even a PR it’s a unique dampener.
Volume S is definitely not a 2 DD set
Glad seeing some company still take some accountability! Let’s just hope it’s not a case where they do it just because they get caught and repeat again in the future
Absolutely right!
Don’t worry about temperature, BA drivers and even more so BCD drivers are very survivable.
I’ve been listening to the Punch for the past few days. Wow, this is one of my favorite IEMs this past year. So much fun! My only knock is I wish the staging/masking was a bit better (it’s not bad) and the shell design is a bit too sparkly for my taste. Great work, Chris! @hawaiibadboy What a legendary set! On top of the great sound, it’s damn near the most comfortable set in my collection.
Thanks It came out exactly as wanted and nobody was in a rush and we didn’t spam the hobby with review samples.
Also has branded drivers so zero “trust us bro”
Glad you like them
My Son is into the Moon.
As much as a 2 year old can be into something.
This is as good as the advertisements with all kinds of adjusts and presets
When a 3D printer meets a good idea
“Сan look endlessly at three things: how fire burns, how water flows, and how a dynamic driver works.”
Its always so satisfying to see that rumble effect
Punch really lives up to its name! Even with the minor quirks, it’s awesome when a set just nails that fun factor and comfort combo, it’s hard to beat!
With the previous posts about the punch, I took mine out again for a bit.
For me it’s really the EST implementation that drives this set home, it sooo good.
Also, this is wild on the Punch:
A De la Soul cover by French punk rockers
Looks like I’ll get the Punch on the next Aliexpress sale. Damn you guys lol.
Can someone expand on how the rumble, texture and impact of bass and midbass are compared to the Deuce?
I agree with what everyone has said, having analog tuned iems available is well and proper for those that want it. But I agree with you that dsp, properly implemented and amplified, is the way to optimize drivers to the maximum. As for size, I believe that so long as the system works well size is not a concern. Once you feel comfortable and capable with the technology and software, then you can see about making it smaller. If someone wants true portability now, then the analog iems are available for them . Very excited to see where your work goes, especially the 101B and 102D DSP models!
It’s a pleasure!
Thank you!
My review is up if anyone wants to check it out. This is unit loaned to me from a member from this forum.
I know what I’m watching as soon as I get off work!
Nice (but not killer) entry to the slow January attention wars from last week. All the way back to the water tape - was an underappreciated talent so glad for the visibility. But given his links to Pro Era - this manufactured nonsense - is what it is.
Saw that yesterday, He’s nice.
Drake about to dead rap beef if UMG gotta pay him before he jumps to Sony. Nobody wanna be liable.
You gas up a fake character with all your tools and he ends up suing the whole game.
Dude’s a pussy.
Beef will be on indie labels only.
Glad I grew up when people took the L and moved it on
OR did dumb shit like rap a unheard sneak diss on Sway and get
killed soon after.
FAFO isn’t a meme. It’s real life.
Major labels are about to be like Youtube or other social media
Censored.
It is a sport and you lost bitch.

On a positive note…has it been that long?
