Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

Great review on the Ra, Chris. Great point on the midbass being a bit too light. I really enjoy the set with Ducbloke’s EQ profile. Gives it a nice bass boost to let that driver shine. Shout-out to him for this beautiful cable pairing too. I find myself listening to this set the most because of how damn comfortable it is for me

I dont get the hype for that system either…people just barely started standardising graphing on the clone iec711 which is awesome cuz now we can at least somewhat look at graphs and compare across different sites. But now comes another standard (that afaik im not sure is really all that much better?)…

The bad answer to a question nobody asked except the folks who were praising stuff based of Harman compliance…one of the variants anyway.

Like em more than I expected. Love the website and wish the whole site mimic’d the RA page.
Ducbloke is the man. He hooked me up with that IEM stand :boom: :boom:

Lmao that dude Duc shouldered me at CanJam yesterday and didn’t say excuse me or sorry or nothing

Lacking manners and common courtesy are deal breakers for me… sick stand tho, no doubt.

Damn, the bump and no “sorry”? That’s cold.

The armies of chaos are lining up against you.
Or…it was just an innocent event.
I’m an aspy so i always figure its war

If I go to a CJ and dudes act like they do online. I’ll ask them politely to take a walk, leave the geek team behind, put camera in pocket. Find out of cam spot and ask em to say again.

In last 15 years nobody in the “real world” has taken me up in variations of that. Not since Ewa Beach when Hawaiian said “shoots bruh…whaaat??” :smiling_imp:

Most times, it’s pretty chill honestly.

But, NYC is pretty packed in compared to SoCal. Looks more sardines’ish. Could be wrong though.

You thinking of going to any like Singapore?

Depends on my Son but Singapore or China are most likely. Mainland USA is of no interest but if they ever do my home :house: state Hawaii. I would :100: be there:white_check_mark:

My 3 fave Planars.
If you on a budget S08 is the choice.
Best overall? Kiwi Ears AETHER
If you already have S15 stay put. If you want the same thing for 50-70 bucks cheaper. KE AETHER.

looks nice but even when i like planars soundwise i get really fatigued and get daydin ringing in my ears. anyone know why that is?

The way planar create sound has an etched sound in harmonics. It is much more obvious in IEM due to size/quality and isolation. You can research how they work v.s DD/BA. I call it etched because it is like sand on glass grainy edgy in upper mids treb. I personally have no issue with planar in mids and bass

Some companies are just fucking…I dunno what to say

EDIT:
I don’t really care, it’s just an example of really poor Quality Assurance. Logistics and communication.
They replied and said I had recieved it and gave me tracking that said I had received it on January 29th

my-eyes-oh-my

If I had paid for this I’d be going nutz…absolutely nutz. Since it was a free thing I never got…shrug shoulders…but man…get it together

That heatshrink on the connector looks bad, would drive me nuts probably

Brise making cables for Subtonic? nah.
