Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

I like the lowkey way in which you provide a sensible definition of an audiophile (although there will probably be some who feel this still requires the procurement of $20000 cables or something similar :person_facepalming:). It also fits in nicely with the PC components argument; better CPU, better performance, ditto for drivers and the like.

Getting a closed back right is a tough job indeed.
The only one I held on to is the Denon AH-D7200 (post-stealth revision). Which at its core is a modded Fostex .
They’re also fairly cheap around these parts. You can often find new pairs discounted to below 500 EUR.

While not a real closed back, but I still like my OG Nighthawks for its bass. But that one really is a love or hate tuning.

I ain’t got shit to show today. Been prep’n for a work trip that starts at 0200 hrs tomorrow morning with a seven hour drive.

No gym at my hotel. Then driving back home Tuesday. I need to make sure I’m back at a sensible time so I can train Wednesday morning :muscle:

You’re smashing it, dude. Keep it up :facepunch:

Yeah, very tough. Someone I know has a modded Fostex that was fantastic. I’ve been tempted to buy it a few times but never pulled the trigger as I’ve gotten deep into IEMs.

But I’ve also been on the market for a Philphone as well and the closed back was actually pretty dang good. Though the open back version was way more special sounding and that’s basically just modded Fostex in an ATH shell.

I don’t think I’ve seen a low end transition like that before. Low end typically goes in broad swells/glides and sometimes cuts, not spikes…

Curious how it works for male vocals etc

Sounds like a refined (SQ) Cadenda with a vibration. I love it. Not catching the notch and I’m trying. If I were just casually listening, I wouldn’t notice anything…since I can’t when trying but my library/ears and I like tactile feedback so there is a positive bias there

Am going to rebuild my Discord
Yeet lurkers and welcome music lovers who go outside and touch grass a lot.
Posting family pics on here is not the best way, so I’ll be here and there but most semi private stuff and company slamming will be on Discord

Looks super dope. I’m curious how you feel about it vs Aegis.

Can completely understand that, especially the family related stuff.

PS I used the Discord invite but cannot post messages according to Discord. Is that normal? (I’m a Discord noob so I have no idea :dotted_line_face:)

I’m publicpersonae_91829 on Discord (provided that was what you’re looking for)). Jeez, hope you can get yourself removed from that system once it has been settled.

PS thanks for looking into the Discord thing!

Yup, kinda like the EE notch.
The EE BcD iirc was right there, dipped way down in mids like 15+dB under the then was in the upper mid ear gain region.

I absolutely crashed today :weary:
No Carbs pretty much since February 28 and lost 33lbs. My blood sugar was not good and I almost fainted and the whole 30 rounds was gasping for air

My heart beat was normal but I was gasping
Reintroducing Carbs tomorrow and slapping on 10lb of muscle and getting into Summer

I should time this out but I always wait for the body breaking ….which was today

Absolutely! Two of the best shows of all time. Sopranos has a special place in my heart for being there during dark phases and breaking bad was part of some of the better phases of my life.
