It’s only 26 here atm, but our technicians are doing some small refits on our smallest barges (prepping to carry AdBlue). There is alot sweating involved.

My parents took us on holiday to the south of France at the height of summer in 1976. I spent one day on the beach, no sun cream (it was the 70’s). I then spent the next ten days in the hospital’s burns unit with serious second-degree burns, blistered head to toe, front and back. I looked like the Michelin Man. The holiday was cut short, and I was sent home in an ambulance.

Physically yes. Mentally no. My own experience was bad enough, but I was in a unit with an 8 year old girl who’d pulled a pan of hot oil from the stove top onto herself, and that memory has never left me.

I was told that I may get an early demo of a set and meet the guy in Autumn. If that set is dropping in September/October…maybe yes? Or I’ll be hearing another set? So to answer the question. I" am not sure

They’d lock up parents for what was normal discipline/life in the old days.
My Grandfather…a Harvard graduate WWII Pilot used to tell my Mother to go fetch a “switch” (flexible whip stick) as long as her legs. He said he was going to beat her with it so if it broke too soon, she’d have to fetch another one.
Basically the mental trauma of finding a strong whip that you yourself would get beaten with is kinda wicked.
That would not fly today.
