Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

Yup I clicked buy about 5pm actually and was at my door 16 hours later. Person lives on other side of Japan. I wait sooooo much in this hobby so rapid service makes my day

I always thought that a ā€œFlagshipā€ model of anything was basically considered the leader or the best representation of the brand rather than the most expensive model. Like, for example, the Lamborghini Revuelto is the flagship V12 model in their line up, not the new Countach or the Sian or the SCV12. But that’s how I’ve always seen the term ā€˜flagship’

That’s why to me it makes sense for the Mona 4s to be the ā€˜flagship’ of the brand, I think the Monarch series is by far the most well known line in their arsenal

I am surprised you seem to like the Ti more than the original 622b, especially considering the original is more adherent to your target (and I see the bass as being the most likely to influence your preference)

Targets are general guidelines. You know that.
The Ti is a rez beast. Captures details the Storm smoothes over.
When Storm graph dropped folks had not seen the hacksaw before.
But we listen with our ears not our eyes.
PMG is just a fucking Monster. That set is on another level.
I searched, found and got a mint one within 24 hours.
I’m blessed. Best 3 sets I have ever heard and they are not similar.

That would be forward and excessive gain areas (ODIN) or sets that have more late treble than the top of ear gain.
Makes harmonics live a milli second longer (sometimes) and that is not enjoyable at all.

The yakiniku had me puzzled for a moment (must have been the transition from the IEMs to the food). I really like the fact that the Storms are attached to the iFi(I think) wireless pods, that’s such a boss move :100:

Hello! Please compare Cano Cristales with Top Pro. I want to know which has better imaging / soundstage / details.

Regards.

Sure, I can give an opinion on that.
They are tuned very differently but, o.k. :+1:

I’m usually not a graph sniffer but… To me, the Top pro graph looks so much better than the cristales… Will wait to see the review if it actually is that way ( how it does with songs…)

Yeah, I was actually considering one of both. I went with the Top pro. With the sale going on I was able to combine the $50 LEC, the basic 10% off during the sale and the $70 off if you spent $500+. This brought the price down to abt $395 (added 2 cables to get over $500), slightly under the price of the Hisenior. A nobrain banger deal in my eyes.
(also because I’m really interested in that lower mids bump on the Top Pro)

It’s a 4 week wait before they send it though :smiling_face_with_tear:

Kudos to Hisenior for being transparent when asked.
I know of flagship products with asking prices of several thousands of dollars and I know for a fact that they are using Bellsing. They avoid that disclosure because they are cowards and concerned with optics and pocket watching

Transparency is not an option. It is not a negotiable thing in any hobby with implied performance tiers

GTFOH with that :poop:

Props to Hisenior for disclosing the facts
We don’t know what series of Bellsing is modified but we have more info than a lot of scumbag companies share.

I can also appreciate the fact they acknowledge the issue concerning the use of ā€˜custom’ to describe their products. Might even lead to a different way of doing so in the future (although Bellsing could still be a sensitive issue of course).

It’s not just the disclosing of co-designing with Bellsing, but they are also stating their reason of why they did it. (aside from the financial benefit). That is something I can respect even more than just saying that they’re using Bellsing.

Thats amazing that they disclosed this!! They deserve appreciation for coming forward and being transparent… Helps us trust the brand more in the hobby… I hope this is something that will start a chain for transparency from other companies as well… ( Ik I’m being very hopeful but I like to be a lil optimistic hehe)

It will happen up to around 1-2000 and beyond that it will continue to be ā€œtrust usā€ We charge nuts prices because we can. The markup is too high to justify and we ….would like you to trust us despite the fact that our priority is getting your money

I can respect Hisenior for being the first company to not say the same thing in 500 words and then not actually say it.

A CamJam Bangkok would be a blast!

Thats been my understanding aswell: the model that best represents the brand’s identity or strengths, not necessarily the priciest or most exclusive.

They are not 100% honest. On 6 june I asked to them about the brand of the armatures and look how they replied:
