Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

Well, at least Elon’s puppet at X realized how wrong this was.

I don’t know if her bailing is a good thing

Is it to protect her from damage or is Grok a propaganda machine?

If that thing grew to that via exponential Ai development she should stick around to oversee the reason for it.
I don’t personally believe bailing during trying times is a good idea. Being culpable and fired on the other hand is something I think is business 101

EDIT. Yea she didn’t even explain the reason for the decision. Maybe fix it and explain what a woke filter is to the world :earth_americas:

Watched the whole video. :+1:

Always found it kind of amazing as a rock fan that a small island nation former empire, took elements and inspiration from American Southern Blues that was mostly regional and Black and most Americans in the 60’s not in the music world wouldn’t know who the Stones and other so called British Invasion bands/musicians were citing as inspirations.

Hendrix was accepted in Europe and known in London by almost everyone before America really knew who he was.

I have to say it’s only a 20 minute drive then a 30 minute train journey to London CanJam but TBH apart from Alien Brain, Valhalla, Aful Dawn-X, plus hopefully I’ll get to listen to the finished EJ10 back here next week, I can’t really see a reason to make the effort :man_shrugging: any other new stuff worth the trip?

Blaming it on the man-made adjustments makes it almost human one could argue… AI is the most extreme example of rushing into something just because it’s possible without considering the broader ramifications.

That development means he’ll have a good head on his shoulders when the time comes to face those challenges you mentioned I’d say.

Thanks for mentioning the EJ10, forgot about that one. Personally, I want to try (among other things) the Top Pro, CP622B, Jomo Nautilus, the Monarch MK4, the Astoria and Audio Que as well as a DAP or two.

Yu9 Que may be there and has some serious hype behind it as a killer for $399, and @veebee is making the trip from down under to demo his new sets if any of those tickle your fancy!

Didn’t know the Que a more reasonably priced one. Figured it was more in the kilobuck region.

I’ve seen it marked as being ~$399 with Google searches (since someone asked the other day in a Discord), current pricing may vary but it sounds pretty reasonable for a 1DD/3BA (using modified Knowles BAs) from a single dude.
Edit: reports from prior Canjams/Meetups have people saying they expected it was kilobuck+ due to the sound quality from a blind listen but that doesn’t mean much IMO since ‘tuning is free’ and there’s plenty of golden stuff from $50-300 and hot garbage at every price level from budget to ‘this buys a car’ levels. Good sound is good sound, period.

Completely agree. I’ve read somewhere it uses a speaker tweeter IIRC, which is what got me intrigued.

I have read $280 to $399 for Yu9 Que. It will probably end up being closer to $400…

It’s the same config as Elysian Pilgrim, but the tuning is very deliberate

It uses a customized knowles for its highs so I don’t know where you got any other info about it

@Lexington99 is correct, the tweeters are just customized Knowles BAs so not sure where that rumor popped up haha. The extension from those BAs is pretty spectacular on the squigs though (and reportedly from those that demoed them).

Tried to look it up but wasn’t able to find it anymore. Probably one of the more hype oriented threads.

I think it’s great that we still get this sort of thing from time to time. People who take a chance to do something different.
