I have but it’s a topic / discussion I don’t really want to get involved in. I enjoy sets with BA bass and DD bass, but if I had to choose one it’ll always be DD assuming it’s well implemented. I’d take top class BA bass over a sub par DD implementation.
I’m the weirdo that loves BA bass when it’s done well. Symphonium Crimson/Meteor, U12t, STORM (Obviously) - the issue is that typically you have to pay a serious admission fee to get that good BA bass. But like @aafevo said;
Kinda thirded? For daily listening I’ve become something of a BA bass convert, although when the mood strikes, a good DD just hits. Literally.
For regular music? Zero issues. For soundtrack bass rumble, for example “Witcher 3 - the Banks of the Sansretour” - I’d only take dd or planar.
Order same time. EBay has tracking and Hifigo has nothing. Selecting express shipping doesn’t work if it takes several days or more to get out the door. Fucking HiFiGO ![]()
Canpur and my $5700 is still not even at the seller. Golf clap to those clowns
. If Musictek and Elise and Landstar are all authorized agents how about shipping to them all and making a release date ![]()
Canpur is clown shoes
Make folks wait for 2-3x longer than the time you set then trickle release em with customers left in the dark all the way through
My video will be a zinger like the UM Amber Pearl which is actually the Cayin Amber Pearl
The reason the Juzear sold less than expected is partially due to your inability to deliver the shit you sell. And here we are again. It’s unfortunate that this isn’t available at a place that actually ships
Ah man, I missed the Steiner talk.
Rick Steiner’s kid is wrestling as Bron Breakker and has the best damn spear in the business. I think it’s comparable or better then prime Goldberg.
Diablo looks freaking amazing. I’m excited to pick one up. I think Linsoul is going to be at Dallas CanJam so I’m excited to give it a listen. Between Diablo and the upcoming Monolith, Crin helping to feed bassheads.
Also, excited to see what you think of the Muse M6. The Muse M5 Ultra was a lot of fun, good warm tubes sound. Ibasso also just released their PB6 - it’s a beast of a tube amp for the price.
Talked with HiFiGO and it’s in the process of shipping so…very stoked since that thing loks absolutely insane
That is horrendous. It’s not like HifiSlo is a mom and pop web operation either. I am surprised by the $379 sticker though. Before the release, much higher number were bandied around. And there is no way in the bluest of blue hells that I’ll ever even consider buying Canpur sets now.
PS: Timberland crew let’s go!
As dope as it looks it’s still just a giant fat dongle. No line out no hosting music.
It needs a phone or other source so it was wise to adjust the price because its limited. It has a big wow factor though
Yeah, Canpur needs to do a unified release
I have heard “Waiting on Europe customs to clear a delivery so all regions have stock” many times.
It’s so all customers paid and waiting have access at the same time.
Nothing like seeing folks buy and recieve before your long ago paid set is in the ether.
It happens to folks and it never ever is appreciated.
Me: Paid 51 days ago. No tracking.
Random person: Pays today has tracking tomorrow.

It’s good to see some companies in the hobby still have some common sense.
It is really, truly astounding that they don’t seem to understand something like that hurts the brand. And I’m being charitable here because the alternative is that they don’t effing care once they have your money in their bank (account).
That headgear just looks too adorable. Also kudos to the manufacturer for making those sizes.
A future champ is in the works, guaranteed! Absolutely adorable - I love it ![]()
So a buddy on Head-Fi actually measured the difference between the 3.5mm and 4.4mm of the Muse M5 Ultra - the 3.5mm was actually acting like a built in impedance adapter and boosting the bass up by like 2-3db. while the 4.4mm was boosting but a bit less then that.
I’m super curious if the M6 does the same.
Many Dac/Amp manufactures that offer both 4.4mm and 3.5mm outs prioritise the 4.4mm. The amp architecture is predominantly engineered for the 4.4mm, where as the 3.5mm is just there for a convenience option so that might explain that?
It’s possible but the vast change to the sound (to a warmer, bassier) also felt intentional. I’ll see if I can find the graph and share it.
We’ve also seen a cable maker (Yongse) who had a cable with a built in impedance adapter as well (the Ruyi Rod) that was intentionally built with that bass boost. This one I know @AudioAmigoReviews graphed with his and mine to confirm.
I also ran my Ruyi Rod on a multimeter and it was something like 15.5 ohms.
I can’t see any reason why a manufacture of Dac/Amps would intentionally have such a
boost between the 3.5mm and 4.4mm, that’s wild.
That’s crazy, do Muse know they are doing this? or are their tech’s feral? ![]()
