Iâm where I was in August.
China may have the âChifiâ stigma but I have never gotten late retail or a late cut since i have been in the hobby.

how was explorer, s08, ea500lm and xuan nv compared? Heard good things abt them esp explorer and s08

I am huge fan of the explorer, but it is a bit dark to some people, and the tips seems to make a huge difference on that set.
The S08 is basically the shortbus tuning on the S12, and is amazing, it does everything well, and has a better timber than most planar sets, but keeps the speed.
I wasnât very impressed by the EA500LM. It was lacking in bass, and lives right at the edge of too bright for me. It has great sound stage.
The Xuan Nv is a set that just didnât do it for me. It has a weird bit of bright that I hear, and it was light on bass.

Thanks! Like I said if I have it by the end of October Iâd consider it a win. The only reason I had my expectations reset to earlier than that was them surprising everyone by saying they were still on schedule to ship on time, which at least for my tracking # this doesnât seem to be the case. Just a little un-resetting of expectations and Iâm good, and like you say completely a first world problem. Heck not even that given what some families and individuals are facing in Western NC right now.
