Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

I don’t think anyone will be interested in doing collabs with them after this

Well it better be for prestige cuz it can’t be for money cuz they don’t pay.
@Toecutter is somewhere trying hard not to say “I told you so”
I rebuffed the 1st time they asked to collab
I regret not doing that the 2nd time.
Some folks being oddly quiet …if this were a Chifi company they would be laughing or raging.
This is interesting to observe.
Between fits of anger of course.

This guy just shared his yay!! moment only to be met with an order cancelled by customer notice which he did not do.
He has not gotten a reply in several days
his 4th Fatfreq and he’s done i think

Finally.

I got shipping info/tracking a while ago but there’s been no update to following the package. And believe me, I’ve been refreshing.

Edit: didn’t see the order cancel, what the heck

At least you got a shipping notice, I’ve nothing. I’ve also seen reports some who paid the extra $50 for DHL that they were sent a notice from Singapore Post… To be fair they did get it switched to FedEx supposedly after asking what’s up. Of coarse silly me - paid the uplift for the DHL too. I’ll have to see how that goes whenever I get a shipping notice…

I’ve said all along that this was a introduction to FF as a brand I’m using this experience to gauge if I want to get one of their top tier sets. Not going to lie it’s been unusually frustrating even for a pre-order.

Holy crap that’s suspicious

This pricing was a shot (my idea) at pulling in a new tax bracket by being more accessible since 450-500 to enter was too rich for many.
This is the 1st and last experience with Fatfreq for many.
Open communication coulda avoided all of this.

I think it’s wild.
Just for protocol and consistency my publicly unboxed retail version being a day or 2 infront of you and others is how it usually goes. Just for checks. No golden sample just a retail wrapped box. I never did a review just and “Intro” and a “Thank you” vid.
I review my own collabs because I literally know the whole story. The money is not radically different from Amazon affiliate links (before they gutted em from 6 to 3%)
That hype vid never happened.
I gave up and hope folks get tracking and I get the set with good channel balance
My hopes have dropped to basic level stuffs
just deliver
just deliver what was promised

I might have to take it off my website. Have it featured as incoming because I was expecting reviews to pop up soon but from the looks of it, it might be a while

I had some faith in FF for this release but I believed it would turn into a bit of a mess with the ridiculous amount of orders all at once.

If I were them, I would have limited the orders to something more manageable like 1000 then shut the system down whilst they catch up and take care of the first 1000 builds. Having 6000 people preorder anything at any scale is just a customer service disaster waiting to happen.

I knew this would happen and I’m not part of the pre order gang so maybe this is easy for me to say but, you just have to be a little bit patient at this point. Try your best to temper your expectations - we’re talking a small team trying to hand make 6000 IEMs that have to go through the build, QC, packaging, shipping out… it’s a logistics nightmare.

In the video game world, when a game gets delayed I see it as a good thing. I’d much much rather the product get delayed months, or maybe even up to a year to ensure the quality of the finished product. I’ll wait for something great rather than succumbing to my impatience and getting an inferior product. Does that make sense?

Makes a lot of sense.
The missed launches were dates they commited to. People who waited since Aug 30th missed launch were watching them at a Canjam on the days where the 3rd try at a launch was due and thought the optics were really bad as well as the planning.
These are unforced errors.

One lesson I’ve learn in life and at work, having to work, hire and manage people: Believe what you see and not what people tell you.

Deuce got tracking 4 days ago and has priority shipping with Fedex (still not picked up)
The keyboard got tracking today and has normal shipping with Yun Express.

Again, these are luxury items. I don’t need them, I just want them and I have the selfdiscipline to wait for them as well as having enough mistrust in other humans that I never believe any claims they make in terms of delivery.

Well they sent me a tracking number for the std shipping option I took, will be interesting to see how long it takes.

Well, while I wait (And hoping I don’t have to take you up on that), I have dug out the Deuce’nt. No slam, exceptionally boring tuning that turned me away from any Tangzu over $30. But, these do something to acoustic guitars that gives me shivers and gives me enough cope to hold on to them.

Got a shipping notice from FatFreq this morning with a FedEx tracking number.

When checking the tracking number it says “We’ll update you with a delivery estimate once we are in possesion of the package.” Meaning that only a label was created.

Mildly concerning are the reports from others who also have tracking numbers but have had zero updates/movement since.

Only thing to do is to remain cautiously optomistic.

How much did you get it for if you dont mind me asking? Tbh I think I will get S08 since I read good reviews about it. Just a bit worried if the treble would lack details/boring but bit of tip rolling should help. Also cant get them all if you buy a budget iem :joy:

100%, I see your point. They should not have committed to a date if they couldn’t follow through with it. Trust me, I’m in a business where under promising to over deliver is the move every single time.
Let’s hope sets start landing on peoples door steps soon!
