Bass focused IEM recommendation (100 - 350 usd)

Yes, Mangird Tea.

Me too, Mangird Tea.

@Rikudou_Goku has more experience on 300usd than most of us here (and far more than me, i’m just a technohead passing through), so I bet he can help you better than I do. He also likes way more bass than I do.

To me stuff like Teas make these genres pop up while keeping balance. An apple dong with it is fine.

Perhaps Sony N3 but as @nymz stated above, @Rikudou_Goku could give you better recommendations

edit: Ok, I’ve just listened to songs you linked. For DnB I find FH3 a bit lacking in rumble. From the list I’d pick either OH10 or I3 Pro since you don’t need extremely fast driver to cope with bass dynamics

I’m just going to put in a vote for the Campfire Honeydew as a bassy IEM that sounds good (to me). It’s real bassy.

Thank you very much for helping me decide. I will most likely go with the Tri I3 Pro. The Mangird Tea is an iem I really want to try after reading so many good reviews about it but sadly I can’t find it nowhere where I wouldn’t have to pay duty fees. Also it may be better to try some cheaper iems first. I was also considering the OH10 but I’ve read it is too heavy and I will mostly be using the iem while walking. As far as the honeydew is concerned, it was high on my list, but as I kept searching I found a lot of negative reviews so I excluded it.

One last question. Will a budget dap like the fiio m3 pro (75mw max output power) be enough to drive the Tri I3 Pro? Will I notice major improvements in sound by using the balanced output on something like a Hiby R3 Pro Saber (280mw max output power)?

The TRI i3 (non pro) changes A LOT with power.
Pro version should be the same.

I will opt for higher output power then. The TRI i3 pro comes with 3.5 mm plug though so I will need to invest in a balanced cable as well. Good thing the cables seem to not cost so much.

So I was thinking, with 11/11 coming, is there an iem in the ~450 usd range which fits my criteria that I should have my eyes on in case of a good discount? Because I could go for a budget dap with enough power (like xDuoo X2S and upgrade later) and a more expensive set of iems, like Moondrop Variations for example. So is there something “better” than Tri I3 Pro at this price range? I would also appreciate it if the recommendations are available in hifigo as it seems that’s the only place that ships without having to pay customs. Thank you in advance.

Ahaha, touché

Well, in the end I couldn’t hold back and ordered the Tri I3 Pro. They went on sale for 126 (from 164) euros on hifigo so I got them and a dap for the price of the lz a7. I’ ve also seen a video on youtube where the reviewer used them in the buss, for jogging etc and even though he said the isolation is average, he didn’t complain about it. So, I hope the isolation will be good enough and in worst case scenario I will buy the fiio fh3 as well  .

I would like to thank everyone who contributed not only in this thread but generally in the forum and especially @Rikudou_Goku and @nymz for their immense help. I will come back with my impressions and maybe some photos when I receive the package!

Let us know how u like them!

What DAP?

I was between the Hidizs AP80 PRO and the Hiby R3 Pro Saber and I went with the ap80 because of the small factor and difference in price. I also bought a cable for the balanced output which may or may not be the kbear rhyme  . It says KBEAR 8 Core Single Crystal Copper UPOCC Cable and after google searching I found the exact same cable on aliexpress with that name (kbear rhyme).
