Led Zeppelin’s manager Peter Grant and John Bonham…
I was scrolling through this thread and became intrigued by your question on this post. At first blush they had that quintessential AKG look to them from the outer shell of the cans to the headband design. I knew it must be an early K-line but had to dig around the web to be sure…
After searching, and if anyone is curious, I think I have found it. It appears to be an early model AKG K-121.
If anyone’s knowledge is more accurate than mine to dethrone this find, feel free to reply back…I am sure others might be interested to know!
I haven’t seen this one posted, but it is one of my favorites, mostly because they had a fireplace on a plane.

Jimmy Page in Tokyo.
Jimmy Page is a well-known visitor to Nishi-Shinjyuku, Tokyo. There used to be several bootleg shops in the area and a few are still around. Whenever he comes here he visits those shops. He doesn’t sue them. He gets whatever he wants for free, and rightly so.
Another frequent visitor to the area is an ex-baseball player, now photographer - “Big Unit” Randy Johnson. He is a big Classic Rock/Metal fan and visits those bootleg shops as well as secondhand vinyl/CD shops. He also collects Led Zeppelin bootlegs and has been friends with Jimmy Sakurai who is a Jimmy Page approved tribute guitarist and a Led Zeppelin bootleg collector.
