Elysian Acoustical Labs x Effect Audio GAEA
I was going to buy a set but decided not too for the ask $
When you take what Sennheiser wanted to do with one driver and make it two steps better using 9 drivers. You make Ruby.
This IEM sounds like a real successor to the IE900. Elevated sub-bass with forward treble while not being unrefined at any section of the FRA. The showstopper was the sub-bass which is one of the most rumbly sub-bass I heard but not the most rumbly. The drawback of this IEM was the midrange which was detailed and reference grade, and doesn’t match my preference for a lusher midrange. This is where Vortex-Lavania cable came to the rescue. It made this IEM from “Fun Sounding” to “Fun Yet Natural Sounding”. This IEM is made for fun, it has the quality of jaw-rattling sub-bass as well as refined treble although it requires a very high amount of power.
The technicalities on ThieAudio Oracle MKIII is damn impressive on first listen which is one of the most toughest task for an IEM
I like the Oracle MKIII it’s currently my fav and goto matched up with my DX180. They have good synergy together and present my library nicely local and streamed.
Using the same chain. DX180 + Oracle MKIII
This new Tangzu - YuXuanJi. Open back DD. But those faceplates are beautiful
EDIT: “Open back DD” in quotes - measurements taping the grilles shut don’t seem to differ almost at all from those with the grilles open, suggesting the “open back” claim is misleading.
How’s the Tap-1 ? my review unit is coming soon
What a beautiful picture man
The Xuan Ji is stunning.
Nice !
Is it a massive difference?
