Earpads for Sendy Aiva

So I just got a pair of Sendy Aivas and they’ve had a bit of a rocky start. With some EQing I’ve improved them to my liking but the pads don’t work for my personal use. I wear them for just about 8-13 hours a day and in some areas getting as hot as 90°f. I’m looking for a pad that is breathable and maybe a little thicker too. I was looking at one of those Shure earcups because those seem to fit the bill. I’m pretty ignorant to the subtleties of audio equipment, so any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I might suggest new releases by Brainwavz. They make a cooling gel gaming pad that Zeos has tried and liked. You might check to see if they fit the Aiva’s and if not, check the market for any calling gel pads matching the size of the Aiva’s. That might get you started

There is a new pad from SendyAudio themselves that they consider an “upgraded” pad for the aivas. It is a very similar pad that is perforated and slightly firmer and thicker.

I have a pair and it reduced the driver crinkle a bit, made them more breatheable and gave slightly more room for my ear, and did change the sound to be slightly wider and something else I couldn’t put my finger on, although I liked the stock pads a bit better.

Awesome. I’ll check these out!

I love the zmf lambskin pads I bought for my Argons on my Aivas. They widen the soundstage and ad some bass to the sound, but also look a bit silly.

Would just like to report back that after seeing these perforated sendy pads on this thread I jumped on them. They came in yesterday and was able to give them a listen for ~30min yesterday. They do seem to keep the temperature of your ears down a bit more. I didn’t notice much of a difference in space for my ears. Also, they did seem to be firmer than the original pads, but they also seemed to be more “memory foam-ish” if that makes sense. Though that could be down to them being newer.

Did you find a difference in sq compared to stock? Something just seemed off to me. I should also note that they also made them sound slightly more “open” imo compared to stock pads. It just felt like I could hear more of environment around me

I just bought them so I’ll give an update when they arrive. I’ve also EQed them because I didn’t like their original sound sig so if the pads change I’ll just re-EQ.

Which ZMF pads did you find worked for your Sendy’s? I’m leaning towards ordering the Ori or Eikon pads but wanted to first ask if there was any fitment issues you’ve experienced. Thanks!

Sorry for such a late reply. Those perforated ear pads have been great since day one. Haven’t even thought about the issue since.
