It was an epiphany! My third eye opened ![]()

Not even close. The earbud hole is significantly deeper. ![]()
I was trying to save him…
I could use some more pointers/options though. So feel free to share
Haha mate, you’re not saving yourself either
I think @JAnonymous5150 will suggest a number of branded options (based on the conversations on the headfi earbuds thread). Hope your wallet is ready
Sheeeesh high bars right from the start hun. Be careful man hahaha
I just low-key bought a couple of Blur earbuds, that is a DIY guy that we don’t really even talk about here in HFGF.
Believe me, I know where I am in the rabbit hole ![]()
https://tidal.com/browse/track/82218193: this track on the Ripples - chef’s kiss.
Edit: Isobel, by Yuri Honing Trio. It’s jazz.
I realised that I don’t have a 4.4 bal cable splitter
i could of course hack it and play Serratus on laptop and Ripples off of phone, but that’s just too much effort for this gag lol
Polite bass: A combination of soft, non forward, non-aggressive, not energetic, and well controlled characteristic. Usually used as summarization for efficiency/time saving sakes.
For example, someone who is polite will usually be soft spoken, not very forward in their actions, not energetic and loud, and well controlled mannerisms–>Using this as an analogy, an IEM’s bass with similar traits, soft, non-forward, non-aggressive, not much energy, and well controlled can be used as an umbrella term.
Now you know! @ToneDeafMonk @SoundEater
Also, what is “good” and “bad” bass? ![]()
Name please: I don’t do tidal so I can’t see it
Oops sorry, i’ve edited my post
Oh, another rec to test the dynamics and mid-bass of Ripples: https://tidal.com/browse/track/15944574. Lights of Barcelona, by Marc Vallee Trio

Thanks so much , it was very useful for me as well.
What about the sound of electric guitar? I’d really appreciate your opinion of Ripples listening experience with these songs:
- The House that Heaven Built - Japandroids
- Judy French - White Reaper
- Pain - The War on Drugs
- PDA - Interpol
- The Beast and Dragon, Adored - Spoon
- Bombtrack - Rage Against the Machine
- Closure - PUP
Your general impressions would be awesome!
I will get around to this, but it was tits degrees in the northeast this weekend so there wasn’t much music listening. But I haven’t forgotten
