After missing out on the first run, I bought my Eris immediately when they became available again on Amazon. I own fifty sets of headphones and, of all of them, Eris is the most fun and unique experience. In fact, I now find myself hard-pressed to use any of my other headphones when I’m listening for pure enjoyment,(for perspective, I’m an audio mastering engineer and musician so not all my listening is for fun).
Aside from music, I was amazed at what these are like for watching movies. I ran them from my Fosi SK01 with the tone controls set with a slight treble boost, slight mid cut, and bass left alone. The opening scene of Revenge of the Sith was just incredible-sounding! Eris is now my preferred way of listening when watching movies, hands down.
Then came the BIG suprise: Eris LOVES tubes! I have a daisychain tube pre setup from my SACD player in my studio consisting of an Aiyima T20 into a Fosi GR70 into a Xduoo TA-66. Running out of the TA-66 headphone jack at the end of the chain, Eris sound absolutely next level!
I’ve got to tell you, Z, you done real good here! You mentioned in a recent video that you wanted to get Eris into more non-audiophile reviewers hands. Have you tried to get them to Dankpods? I have no doubt he’d love these.
