I really really like the new HE600s, but they’re just not an HE6se. I think they were supposed to be an HE500 successor, so maybe future HE6se successor is still possible, but idk if it’ll still have the magic even if it does happen.

They turn the HE6SEV2 into a more “gentle” headphone. With the angled stock ones i was getting a more intense sound. Hot snares for example were way to much for me with stock pads. Yes, more detail with stock but a more smooth and for me “balance” overall with these. And WAY more confortable.
Yeah I can’t do the cloth and velour/velvet pads. They just sacrifice too much rumble and impact weight for me to tolerate. Those pads I linked you are really thick and almost comically large, and at first when you put them on, they’ll feel like they’re going to fall off, but once the leather relaxes around the pad rings and they’re set in place and evened out and centered, they kinda conform to the shape and stay in place just fine. It is kind of a bitch to get them on at first because you kinda stretch the pad material around the pad ring so it’s loose for a few minutes, but it fixes itself
Ok thanks for the tip. I will try as soon as i get them. The ones im using now are not all velour. They are mostly “leather” only have velour where the ears/head rest. The all velour ones are too bright for me.
