Definitely, has android along with a MUUUUUUCH better SOC at pretty much the same price, the only factor I can see the R3S being better would be if you need a smaller device.
Of course I would still pick the Hisense Touch over either of them due to that battery life, especially if you are streaming. (local music might not work well due to the limited 110gb ish storage on it though.)
I just wish the hisense touch wasnāt so big. It makes perfect why it is since its an e-reader but I dont need an e-reader, I need the M300 with 3.5/4.4 and an e-ink display damnit!
Album thumbnails should load, they do on mine, you cannot drag thoughā¦ have to āflickā.
Not sure why some genius thought that was a good idea, takes a delicate touch for sure.
Hiby really should change it.
This is probably addressed in several other places, but am I right in thinking that the visceral-but-not-elevated bass thump that the Simgots do is due to to the passive radiator theyāve implemented? Iāve been though my fair share of single DD iems at varying price points but the EA500s are getting as much usage as my OG Tin T2s used to for casual use. Anything at the high-end (maybe utilizing stuff like bone conduction, dedicated sub-DD, or ākinetic bassā) that does this kind of clean vocal signature w/ the same bass āfeelā, or is this limited to Simgot?
Twilight of day #2
I am a bit in the autumn mood lately, but after 3 albums that I listened to from the beginning to the end (out of which 2 are really warm and 1 is very acoustic) I can tell you that all of them sound better than ever on Twilight. It is as compared to all the buds and IEMs I have ever tried listening this music with.
Kings of Convenience - Riot on Empty Street
Anohni and the Johnsons - My back was a bridge for you to cross (my album is the year 2023)
Rhye - Woman
Twilights are really flawless tonally on my normal and a bit louder than usual listening level. I canāt get it cranked up very much though, which I can do with the
SA6 though. This tonality is similar to SA6, but with heaven-like mid bass quality (very physically enveloping as compared to BA), beautifully open music presentation and a bit more energy in the upper midrange. In short it makes SA6 mostly obsolete for me.
The only drawbacks I have in mind are that the overall packaging kind of sucks (but whatever) for 930$ MSRP and the stock cable is meh.
BTW - if EA1000 is anything like Twilight (also in a sense that it is also hard to graph the real life sound reproduction by 711 coupler due to concha facing driver - similar to many concha facing vents in Softears) it must be best kind of steal today for 170$ on AliExpress
The EA500 is definitely a mid-bass king and even sub-bass is very very good with mods or EQ but Iāve only also tried the EA1000 and it definitely doesnāt have the same visceral bass impact as the EA500
Donāt get me wrong itās still well textured and the sub-bass is probably a bit better but it feels like cleaner and less visceral
In fact, no IEM Iāve personally tried has felt as visceral in the mid-bass as the EA500 so if more of thatās what youāre looking for I think you may be out of luck!
Oh! But actually earbuds do have that visceral impact. Shoutout to rikubuds
Not sure if itās like the Twilight but it sounds exactly as it graphs imo
Iām in the same camp as others in that I honestly doubt the passive radiator is doing much of anything but that doesnāt matter cause the DD driver they put in there is AWESOME!
Well, perhaps the passive driver is allowing for more of an open-back sound letting more air in and out thatās giving it an awesome timber haha!
My three favorite sets this year were the P1 Max, Kailua, and EA500. In terms of satisfying bass, that is also the order I rank them in. I was late to the P1 Max, but I am glad I picked it up.
I still think my favorite of all time is the Tea 2 or OG Tea, but the mk2 is about 3x the price the of P1 Max.
Hey folks, quick question. Is there anything worth checking out around 1k or below if I already own UM MEST MK2 and Prestige LTD (happy with both for different reasons)? I understand itās kind of broad question and plenty depends on what Iām missing from both of themā¦ dunno! Perhaps just an itch?
Unless thereās something specific that you feel you are missing with the MEST mk2 and LTD, then I would vote for ājust an itchā. Having owned both of those (and still owning the LTD, among others) unless you need a specialist for certain genres or the like, either of those could be āone and doneā IMO.
As you have 2 Sub-bass heavy sets, one with recessed vocals (MEST), the other one I am not sure I would look for something with good mid bass and/or something focused on vocals. One thing that pops in my mind is Twilight, my latest love. For me it has not only amazing mid bass, but also beautiful vocals, but for singers there is also a specialist in RSV from Softears to be considered
