I chuckle every time I think I paid $10 for the Piccolo. If someone told me they cost $80, I would believe them.

Eh, Im pretty sure the work culture in Japan is brutal.
Just looked it up: Japanese workers get 10 days of vacation per year by law. Pretty much the same as the USA.

I was wondering that. I know there are traditions such as āyou donāt clock out before your bossā that are unwritten but still observedā¦ I could well imagine people trying to use as few vacation days as possible to show commitment and āstrengthā.

yeah I canāt live life like that, Iād rather be a bum, which ironically isnāt too far from what I am currently
like none of those gestures is genuine and no oneās actually feeling that way, theyāre just scared of being socially incorrect and that type of shitās gonna turn me into the Hulk

Hi folks. I created a ratings aggregator database for IEMs. Thought Iād share it here. Check out soundmeow.net. An average score is calculated for the rankings to give you a good idea of the general consensus.
Still early days and the published ones only number around 30 but the database has another 200+. All available reviews are linked for easy access

Thereās also a sale on aliexpress for kinera cylest Qing ( I belive this is a Abyss with different color) for 10$(same as piccolo). Which one should I grab. Or maybe try to grab both, lol

Nope, I get 26 + Holidays and I both know I am fortunate, and still donāt think it is enough.
I worked for a company for a few years ( 2014-2018 ) that only did 10 days a year, and that was 10 days of total PTO, no sick time. I have no idea how parents of school age kids make that work. I have three grandkids, and until the older ones got into their mid teens, I used to use a few days a year just to help out when they were sick.

Reading all this, I uh am almost embarassed by the amount of vacation I getā¦
- 20 days base vacation
- 14 days ADV vacation (Basically my contract states that I need to work 7.8h/weekday lunchbreak excluded. But our office hours are from 07h until 17h. That overtime translates into extra vacation
- 3 days of seniority vacation (you get 1 day every 5 years you work in my specific sector. Can be transferred to a new employer within the same sector)
- variable vacation (Bankholidays that fall on the weekend can be used as vacation anywhere during the year)
So this year I have 41 days of vacation.

The Qing is a straight up Harman Tune, itās almost as Harman as you can getā¦ with that being said the shells are very comfortable for me and quite beautiful imo. But Iām almost certain the piccolo would be an overall ābetterā IEM but Iāve never heard them.

Iāve had two six-week stretches this year with ZERO days off, including weekends.

Ooof, that is rough.
I got into them when I was working from home.
Sadly my current job limits where I can use real audio gear. It is a long and boring story involving government work, but my phone and keys have to be in a lockbox outside the office during the day, and I canāt use a real keyboard either.
Man I miss working from home.
