I think that Ziigaat is one of the few brand out there that is offering different tunings. So many brands only offer their house tuning with very slight variation. That become very boring very quickly
also they spread them pretty evenly across different price range so people would have options, unlike certain brands
Its been the same with Kiwi ears too. I guess aesthetically, they havent been doing any different but both sound great (which serves the purpose)
Totally…hoping someone gets it right this year
These 2 are BIG BIG points. apart from saving you from the wrath of your coach these 2 are crucial to save your wrists. Those bones are tinyyy like if they break they become powder and even after you get it fixed (will never be 100% fixed) it limits the amount of things you can confidently do for a while. learnt it the hard way here (hard surfaces not to be messed with). always wrap before a punching spree.
many brands stick to minor tweaks within their house sound, which can get repetitive. It’s refreshing when Ziigaat explores different tunings instead of playing it safe.
I havent really tried many of them so I am Curious if they have a consistent quality across their different tunings or if some stand out more than others.
I had Doscinco and in afew days I’ll get to hear Arcadia (flying back home tomorrow where the package is waiting for me).
When I demoed Arcadia it sounded cleaner/less warm than Doscinco.
I demoed Punch too but it didn’t do it for me, I found the bass a bit soft and maybe not worth the price.
What hasn’t been “got right?” The Pula Anvil is terrific at $200, and the Penon Fan 3 remains my favorite IEM.
AFUL has plenty of variety within its tunings just within the three I’ve heard:
Warm-meta: Explorer
Mids-focused: MagicOne
Excitable, slightly V: Explorer 5+2
I assume they mean they want the BC to actually shake their ears? None of the chifi ones do afaik, except the Zempire iem from that random DIYer from Russia > chifi lol.
I dont know how i glossed over them but yea, AFUL definitely isn’t a one-trick pony when it comes to tuning. good range of preferences while keeping their tech and design somewhat consistent.
ohh thats a shame, I have been hearing a lota good things regarding the punch in regards to its bass aswell. The bass isnt quite there at the Maestro mini level but still relatively present
Finally some good news when it comes to IEMs for me. I’ve returned the broken P7s to the seller back then right? Looks like I am going to get a new replacement for it for the seller contacted me today regarding about it. Gonna have to wait and see if that is going to be the case but for now I am tempering my expectations, for I am prepared to move on from the P7s and try something different.
9 unique IEMs for the price of 9!
Yay, another source with PEQ access.
(via their app.)
Found another tiny dongle with the same chip as the Fiio JA11 = PEQ access via both fiio app and web app.

Just a quick shoutout V16>Prestige LTD…easy
V16 is an absolute beast of an IEM
I don’t think you have enough ear tips, brother…
In all seriousness, I need to pick up some more W1s soon. I’ve had a newfound love with them recently. They’re great on some IEMs!
Yes W1 is great, especially for heavier IEMs, it helps stabilizing them in ear
Agreed. Same with IEMs with shorter nozzles as well. It works wonders for fit!
