IEM discussion thread (Part 2)

Downloaded. Have to use some time to figure this out😅. Thanks!

Found this a few years back, saved a lot of time and effort for me. With my library, I found it to have close to 90% accuracy in finding the right metadata.

I still had to manually replace some Album Covers with better quality ones and the program doesn’t do as good a job with Lyrics and Genre Tags but everything else is just great and it’s FREE.

For Android, there’s also “Automatic Tag Editor” that does a decent job.

I have my music in a single big folder thats divided into genres (loseeelyyyyyy) then into artists (if they are organized at all otherwise might just be an album there).

If you have something similar I would add a genre folder at a time, select the files which will be in the “unclustered files” to the left by clicking on that folder, then click on the lookup button. If there are files left in the “unclustered files” you can click on that folder again and click on the scan button.
Then on the right side, the lazy and fast method would be to just select all the folders (ctrl+a) then click save and done.

After lookup:

After scan:

Do check the setting mentioned here.

particularly these. I would not enable “save cover images as separate files”.

I’d second the NiceHCK Himalaya. It’s one of my favorite single DD sets, once I switched from the short OG nozzles to longer ones that came with my Simgot sets and the Kato. Since I’ve already modded the majority of them in one way or another it’s just been a matter of extended but equally enjoyable nozzle, tip, source and cable rolling sessions to get the Himalayas where I want them sonically. Time and moneys very well spent.

Wooahh thats amazing! I think even i wanna do that xD but i have a fkn iphone😂

They said the lower price brackets didn’t make financial sense for them any more, and that they would move innovation upwards to more expensive areas.

aah, probably i remembered that wrong , thanks for clarifying!

I see, thanks for assuring me to someday get this IEM set and I really hope it caters to my overall taste and preference. I admit there is an another IEM that I am curious about and no it’s not because it’s balanced, it’s because of its unique tuning that is unusual for most people which I am not sure if that is an accurate claim. That would be the Dita Project M, I would like to know more details about it, if it’s a good enough alternative when in someway there is no stock of the Himalayas. Also my library mostly consists, of alternative rock, metal, groove metal, extreme metal, djent, etc. So I am hoping on which IEM set could be the better deal overall.

The Project M isn’t a great match for your preferred genres. The PM is a nice IEM with more bass than depicted by many, but its clean treble and lengthy treble extension are still the stars of the show.

Great with classical and strings, but I didn’t care for them that much with rock and hard rock.

I just bought the Thieaudio Hype 2 for $150 at Amazon – 50 percent off – and it’s a KILLER IEM with hard rock and rock because of its mild V-shaped signature. But there’s still plenty of bite in the electric guitars, with not much recession in the mids. The treble also walks the tightrope of lengthy extension and detail without being sibiliant.

Sadly, the 50 percent off sale at Amazon is over. But if you can get a pair used or find another sale, the Hype 2 are excellent with rock, hard rock and metal.

I see thanks for the input, but I think the Himalayas so far intrigue me the most due to its balanced/neutral sound signature. I think an IEM that can almost do any genre would be my preference overall in general, like it doesn’t add too much treble, bass or mids, just the right amount while maintaining as natural sound as much as possible. But thank you for the suggestion with the Hypes.

:eyes:thats gonna be pricey

I’ve heard $1799 touted but :man_shrugging:
