EJ10 – AudioGeek Special Edition
Having the privilege to be the very first, outside of a handful of visitors at the high-end Munich event, to experience this prototype with its final tuning is nothing short of A hobbyists DREAM. This is the successor to what may well be one of the most legendary and still talked about IEMs ever released: the LetShuoer EJ07. But this isn’t just a follow-up it’s a statement special edition, produced in an extremely limited run and fine-tuned by the same audio wizard responsible for the original and the Cadenza 12. Here, all accumulated knowledge and technical progress since those releases have been distilled into a single, uncompromising flagship and my personal dream.
Design & Build Quality
The unit I’ve had the opportunity to test is, in fact, the only one currently existing example outside the factory. There is one special set made in the originals format but with a wood face plate. The unit I have in my ears is a grey plastic shell that the prototype comes in. This gives the whole experience a raw and exclusive feel. Truly like holding the future in your hands before anyone else (Almost :P). There are already rumors that the final model will take its shape with materials like stabilized wood and titanium. If this becomes reality, we can expect build quality and tactile feel to match the sonic capabilities Fingers crossed
Technology & Configuration
Beneath the shell lies a Tri-brid setup: two dynamic drivers, four balanced armatures, and four EST drivers. This combination provides a technically advanced platform that truly delivers on all fronts. The EST implementation is so well executed that it makes me wonder if most other EST-equipped IEMs even have their drivers properly activated, or if they’re just there for show.
Sound – Texture, Realism & Magic
The first thing that strikes me is the bass texture—this is, without a doubt, the best and most nuanced bass reproduction I’ve ever encountered in an IEM. The bass is deep, fast, and incredibly controlled, never becoming dominant or muddy. It’s a level of realism and quality I previously thought was reserved for sets that compromised in other areas, but here there is no such compromise.
The midrange is open and natural, delivering vocals with a presence and intimacy that makes music feel alive and immediate. It reminds me of the Mystic 8’s ability to deliver world-class vocals, but here with even greater realism and dynamics. The treble, thanks to the EST drivers, is airy and detailed without ever becoming harsh or fatiguing—on the contrary, it’s a showcase of how high-frequency reproduction should sound when the technology is used right.
Summary
This is an IEM that not only lives up to my expectations (Sky high) it surpasses it. It’s the result of years of experience, innovation, and love for this stuff.
A huge thank you to AudioGeek and LetShuoer for noticing my excitement and the opportunity to experience something this special. This is why I love this hobby!
I hope some of you get the chance to hear it!
