100% this is pretty much it I love my fostex X00’s id also recommend an alternative if youve got a powerful amp T50rp Argon with lambskin pads
What kind of mods need to be done?? I’ve been interested in these for a while
what do you define as powerful? I’m not gonna crank my volume or flip up the gain if it hurts my head.
if an amp can push 2w at 30ohm but I never go beyond 10 o’clock, I’m not using that 2w. 
50ohms with a 92db sensitivity 1 - 3 Watts would cover it fine. But more power for T50’s never hurt
