@ShaneD No offense taken. There are a lot of soundtracks I write off as just incidental “stuff” so I get it.
We just all hear and like things differentl_ based on our unique life experiences. Believe me, there’s a LOT of things listed here that I just shake m_ head over, lol. One of the things I like about this forum is the exposure to new things…music, gear, etc. PS, have a letter that won’t print, hee hee. PPS Got some cooler air to send down here?
There are so many soundtracks that have a lot to offer musically. Not a movie per se, but the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack as a whole is amazing. Movies, the Lord of the Rings soundtracks are my first “try this and see if it changes your mind” offering. Star Trek 2 & 3 (the old 80’s movies) are awesome. Bram Stoker’s Dracula is so heavy. I’ll stop now, bot look into Howard Shore and Hans Zimmer.
These guys have a very proprietary sound, best I can describe is emo EMD. I use them on occasion for critical reference listening. Lots of layers and wide dynamic range.
