A friend of mine once bought a compilation CD called “source material”, a collection of french “electronica”, and i ripped it to mp3. Files are dated april 1999! Remeber this song stood out for me as one of the better tracks on the compilation. Shame i only used 160kbit (storage space was precious, and i only had a crap stereo so i couldn’t really hear much difference going higher bitrate…now though 
)
