How are you liking the album? As a metal fan you must be happy.
I actually am kind of “meh” about it. I appreciate and like some of the songs A LOT and am super stoked for the new material. But some of the songs seem unpolished and lacking something…still trying to figure out what it is.
Like most Deftones albums, I am sure it will be typical in the fact that it grows on you a lot.
I really liked the lead off single, but much like Gore, I am not loving the rest of it.
Gore was their worst album IMO. This one isn’t as bad as that…but it isn’t White Pony or Diamond Eyes either.

It occurred to me I haven’t given this one a proper listen on any of these higher-tier cans I’ve acquired recently. That oversight is being rectified presently.
