Really great sounding album

FLAC 16/44.1 (Foobar2000) > ZenDac > Asgard 3 > Elegia
“TrueBass” enabled: gives the Elegia a nice Zen-ful something-something…
One of my all time favorite bands. Moving Pictures, Permanent Waves, Signals, and 2112 are the 4 Rush albums I have listened to cover to cover the most.
Yep, a true “Album-Rock” kinda band!
Saw them live last in Seattle at the Coliseum in '86 I think it was. I regret not making their last tour.
I’ve seen them 3 times…2002, 2004 and 2011 (the live in Cleveland album was recorded from that show…I was in the 8th row left center with my wife). That Cleveland show was great because they played Vital Signs live…1st time I had seen them play that live (my favorite song by them).
Currently about halfway through the first listen to the new AC/DC album, Power Up
seems to me like its a bit of a time capsule back to the mid 80s in the way the songs are composed, and played. The songs remind me more of Brian’s earlier albums with ac/dc, than the later albums. Brian’s voice also sounds a bit refreshed, perhaps a few years off have done his vocal cords good.
As for all AC/DC albums after Bon Scott died, they seem a bit more formulaic than their 70s albums which i felt had a bit more variation (especially in the vocal performances). That said, im not through the first listen yet, so it might still surprise me!
