That must have been an awesome show, the smaller venues are the best.
50 years ago my father returned home with his newly acquired stereo record player, with separate wired speakers, and a collection of records. He put this on, and I was hooked, to both the stereo sound emanating from the speakers and the music of Duke Ellington. I was 6 or 7 years old, and so my journey into sound and music began.
Sorry, no photos, but am listening to the recently released Qobuz hi-res version of Frank Zappa’s Apostrophe… Hokey smokes!
About 120 years ago, when I was in college, he and his then-current band came to perform Apostrophe and Overnite Sensation… incredible musicianship… among the best live concerts I attended during my misspent youth.
This new hi-res re-release is truly wonderful.
Just listened to the very same album yesterday myself… must be synchronicity. Or maybe kismet.
Whatever it is, it’s great music!
These guys were in my Music Discovery on Spotify and I have been listening to them a lot on Amazon HD - So I bought an their latest album from Qobuz…

The teenagers today just don’t know how good they got it. Yeah sure, my gen had Brooke Shields, Farrah Fawcett, and Deborah Harry but, wow Dariah Zaritskaya…

Holy Cow. That was like going back in time! Haven’t heard this in years. That was fun. Thanks.
Thanks for that. Unknown album to me, always loved her voice, fantastic album.
Another lost CD found. I’m enjoying this one a lot.
