Agreed! Monster fight = awesome. Story line = garbage. But if god had intended every movie to be good, he wouldn’t have given us cheep beer to drink

I hear you, brother! The funny thing is I think they did okay with King of the Monsters in that respect.
The other problem I had with this was how poorly they implemented MechaG…
I know, I’m over-analyzing a popcorn flic, but I was a big Toho fan when I was a kid and frankly found those more entertaining than some of these monsterverse movies…
The only recent film I think has done this anywhere near right was what Guillermo del Toro did with Pacific Rim.
