Ah Motorhead. The best music with the worst recording quality. Good thing headphones like the Porta Pros exist.
Given during their peak years hawkwind probably averaged 2 albums a year, you have to forgive the relatively low quality.
Honestly I love how gritty and raw most of Motorhead’s out put sounds. And ya, Motorhead bumped out 22 studio albums, only one of which is actually BAD (hammered). Although I will say that some of their later albums were decently recorded (for Motorhead).
They sound amazing live though. The very best show I’ve ever seen was Motorhead, Dio and Iron Maiden in 2004.
Saw Motörhead circa 1988 or 1989, Leeds University refectory, easily the loudest concert I’ve ever been to. Always remember them collecting and cataloging knives at the door, so they could be returned after the concert.
