Listening to tonight (Part 2)

First time I heard this version, I like the more intimate vibe. :notes:

Rockin’ the DCA Corinas driven by a HeadAmp Blue Hawaii SE (Amperex Bugle Boy EL34s) with a Gustard R26 pulling DAC and streamer duties.

I wanted something low-key to kick back to and enjoy while I wind down. El Ten Eleven’s 2012 chilled out math rock masterpiece, Transitions, sounded like it would fit the bill nicely. This album is straight :fire:!

Current listening gear: Audeze LCD-4s driven by a Burson Soloist 3XGT with a Soekris 2541 DAC fed by a Holo Audio Red.

Current music choice:

On An On - Syd Arthur

Had to switch to IEMs or closed backs because I’m listening in bed and don’t want to disturb the Mrs. For now I’m running my Meze Liric IIs off a Violectric V380.2 being fed by a Wiim Pro streamer.

On deck for listening is one of my absolute favorite post-rock acts, Bear the Mammoth with their 2018 album, Years Under Glass. Sick band and a sick album. Enough said. :metal::fire::sunglasses:

ZMF VCs into the Ferrum Oor/Hypsos stack with the Holo Audio May KTE pulling DAC duty.

Time for some indie prog!

Switched over to the DCA Stealths for this next one.

Fiction by Syncatto. One of the best albums of the year if you ask me. If you dig Polyphia, The Omnific, etc, then you need this album in your life. :fire::metal::sunglasses:

I had a very brief session last night where I stumbled across this fun performance. Very well done, I thought.

Now streaming from my Galaxy S23 to iFi Zen Blue V2 to J3 to A70 Pro to HD660S2. I don’t think I am missing anything in LDAC. Still sounds fantastic.

Running the DCA Corinas off my HeadAmp Aristaeus (w/ NOS Philips Miniwatt 12AU7 tubes) with the Holo Audio May KTE decoding the coax out from a Wiim Pro.

I’m listening to Kalandra’s 2020 album, The Line, and it sounds absolutely epic on this setup. The ethereal nature of the transients on the Corinas is just the icing on the cake.

Well here we go! Rocking the Dunu Da Vinci tonight. Curently enjoying an old fave and a reference for me.

This album is really well done. The Da Vinci is doing a great job, too. I sear, these sound better every time I use them. Just beautiful. :+1:t2: :headphones:

I finally figured out what i need to get shuffle to work on my Wiim Pro Home App. My last set up as I dozed off was Wiim Pro to J3 to A70 Pro to JBL LSR310S to Avantone CLA200 to Triangle Borea BR02 with my previous play list going on shuffle.

I had almost quit using the Wiim because I wanted to use shuffle & I looked in settings to no avail. Shuffle is in the little play window for whatever song is playing. So then.

I will now admit that the Wiim sounds superior to both my TV optical to the J3 & my phone LDAC to Zen Blue V2 coax to J3.
I’m listening to the previous playlist on my HD660S2 at this very moment with the Wiim Pro as the source.
That playlist is growing. Thanks to the Warren Huart interview of Ken Scott, this band called Procol Harum is on it, an album called A Salty Dog from 1969, amoung others from them I’m about to listen to.
