how do the walkmans compare to like the m6?
They are pretty meh with sound and power. They have a good interface, but are overpriced with the sound quality and power you get.

I have a Sony NWA-45 (Well, technically my father has it know). Little and light, 40+ hours life battery, good sound. Very poor power. The A55 and A105 share most of these features.
According to that, I think the Cowon Plenue D and D2 are better value then, they both have longer battery life and more power with clean sound. Unless you need a really snappy interface.
