Looking for Warm Neutral IEMs ($200-$300)

I havent heard it but that graph is Df neutral.

Which is bright and shouty for me.

Gotta agree with @Rikudou_Goku here, the CRA is the definition of V-Shape in my books :joy: But I honestly can’t think of too many warm-neutral budget set off my head  Maybe Tin hifi T3 Plus? But then again if you’re gonna get Olina SE there’s no point in getting the T3 Plus since the Olina’s just an upgraded version of it.

@Vulcanic I guess if you want a bass centric REALLY warm set, then you can grab the Olina SE ($100) + TRI KAI ($80). I think that’s a good variety of both, but be aware the KAI isn’t that clear and technical.

Based on the graph I would say something like the Vortex, vernus ( falcon pro), dark magician, etc would be considered warm neutral

None of those iems look warm neutral to me on graph.
(and definitely not the T3 Plus.)

Within the price point, its only the E500/1000 and then a modded Falcon Pro would fit.

Bro that’s just neutral in my books hahaha. Warm-neutral to me would be modded Olina :man_shrugging: And Dark Magician etc. I’d consider neutral neutral.

Penon Vortex is about the same FR. Modded Autumn I think would also be similar but can’t find that graph

idk if I would call the modded Olina “warm” necessarily. Maybe the double filter but I have a tanya modded one and its still has more energy in the treble than the Moonlight and Vortex which would be warmer and more neutral imo

True, forgot that one.

@Rikudou_Goku @cal_lando This is pretty warm-neutral to me, even more after mod. What FR target are you guys referencing?

Over 10db of pinna gain is a lot imo. I usually use HBBs target which the Olina overshoots

This looks pretty V to me

If you normalize at 300hz, to standardize the bass, most things are less neutral (in the lower mids) than Kai, but Kai is brighter in the upper mids and has less details than some.

Warm, neutral, and detailed is kinda hard to do

I’d say modded Olina is mildly V shaped and can be described neutral-bright or neutral-warm depending on the source and the tip…!
It sounds neutral-warm on my BTR3K and bright on Xumee dongle…!
(I love how it sounds out of my BTR3K balanced output)

That’s why a lot of us said Olina SE. It’s pretty much what he wants, without going super-expensive

The thing with Olina SE is that it’s low end is about as much is stock OG Olina and you can’t use dual damper mod to elevate the bass. (it’ll be too dark IMO).
But with OG Olina you do have the option to use mods. also there’s not enough reviews about it. so I’d say if you consider Olina SE, maybe wait a bit for the reviews.

If you don’t mind losing a little sub bass (which can be modded back in to some extent), the Penon Vortex is one of the best single DDs I’ve heard, hands down. It’s incredibly detailed with excellent treble extension, great mids, and clean punchy mid bass.

I’m enjoying the Fan atm, despite the high bass it can sometimes be a little too bright for me - but that’s a definite V shape anyway.

Oh I assure you, my opinion is based on hearing SE.

My frame of reference, based on IEMs I’ve heard is 7Hz Zero is the most neutral. Olina is a little brighter and less thin, but not warmer than Zero. Kai is warmer, but darker and not the technicalities he wants. Olina SE is warmer than OG Olina, less than Kai, and if not equal to OG it’s very close on technicalities

A very helpful quick comparison (based on actual listening) to put out there. :+1:

How do they compare to the HD 6XXs? Do they give off the same vibes?

Never heard those headphones, so I cannot give you a comparison
