IMO, any tws must have an app with system wide eq and memory. I basicly eq’d my sony xm4s and never touched it again since it stores it in the memory.

We also have N400 incoming, so that will be a nice comparition

If Sony would not use proprietary connector instead of USB-C NW-A55 would be the go-to for a lot of IEM users including mine. There are good solutions for desktop, so low power is not a problem

I re-evaluated my needs and general situation on the market and realized how rationally well-set I am.
Source wise I have:

  • phone with quite good DAC and mini-jack (Zenfone 8) - for YouTube consumption + streaming services on-the-go (10% use scenario)
  • Shanling Q1 DAP - music listening at home in bed with IEMs + while commuting (40% use scenario)
  • IFI Hip DAC - music listening and meetings at work (50% use scenario)

Headphones:

  • Mangird Tea - go-to in most cases at home for critical listening + commuting
  • AKG K371 - general use at work
  • Tripowin Mele - supplementary at work when my ears are hot from over ears and Teas are deep down the backpack
  • Sony WF-1000XM3 - supplementary deep in the backpack if needed for YouTube/Spotify/meeting on-the-go

All of this told me that I should have all basic + alternative use scenarios covered.
I don’t need better DAP as I don’t have power hungry earphones on the go and streaming I can do from my phone (was eyeing Shanling M3X).
I don’t need better IEMs yet as Teas bring me a lot of joy every day (was looking at second hand MEST, RSV, new ej07m, timeless and generally all kind of sources).
I don’t need better desktop setup than hip-dac as it should be good enough balanced even for power hungry planars or something like HD6xx (was looking at MT-602, MT-604 and other random stuff)

I realized all that and thought it is not rational to spend single penny on anything.
Then I bought hifimans HE-400i 2020 + balanced cable today just because there was a nice offer on local audio forum :eye:

Ahahah you got me on the last paragraph. But it’s true, Teas are all you need

The timeless and fedex memes never fail to exist. Seems couriers don’t really want me to get a timeless unit so, there’s that.

To fedex: a big f*** you and see you on 2022. Aliexpress standard shipping still as fast as you.

Turns out my ripped EJ07m box sleeve was also Fedex’s fault, according to Dudo. Dudo said they specifically asked Fedex to keep the parcel within their system, so the rip must be a man-made issue during Fedex’s inner shipping scheme.

But no way for Dudo to use DHL atm… They’re already on the blacklist of DHL and have had several parcels denied delivery and sent back to them at border checkpoints.

Was this Fedex home deliver << cursed by thy name >> ?

Can anyone recommend TWS for gaming? Low or no latency? I have the Galaxy Buds Plus but they have bad latency problems for gaming or watching videos on PC?

Edit: Or is there Windows EQ software that allows for the adjustment of latency/delay?

The music is kinda distracting from the video, if you know what I mean

I’m not familiar with the different services provided by Fedex, it’s the seller who made the arrangements

FedEx Home Deliver (in the US) is done by “independent contractors” - meaning people driving around in station wagons. If you aren’t home, they don’t give a rip. Also, they are almost impossible to get hold of through FedEx. I once ordered Focal Clears and it took over a week to actually get them in my possession. Because I had to sign for them and, because I actually have a job, it meant I wasn’t home. I tried to get the deliver rerouted to a local store (that had a FedEx drop off) but FedEx couldn’t “contact” them.

All in all, it was a royal pain in the butt.

Understandable, I think some couriers here in UK use this type of contract services. But Fedex isn’t one of those. So the case seems to be solely on Fedex’s internal problem.

No, regular fedex  I hate them but seems sellers love it because it’s the cheapest express or something. Oh well, it is what it is. Timeless never arriving part 2.

Sorry to hear that mate. Honestly, standard shipping option worked out for me. Yes it took bloody ages, but no hassle from anywhere and my parcel was in perfect condition. Not sure if you’re still keen to try yet again, but maybe that’s the way to go…anyway, fingers crossed the IEM will make it to you!
