So I heard it and it was good, but it didn’t blow me away, but it was on the show so I would have to spend more time with it, but very nice. I wonder how expensive it would be

To be fair, it takes a lot to blow you away!

I assume it won’t be too expensive. The Zen DAC is $129.

Thanks for letting me know.

I want to say the stack sounded better than the zen dac from memory but I can’t confirm, so idk. I think the amp was better than the Zen dac

It looks like they’re offering a non-Drop version of this amp as well.

I haven’t heard about the Drop x IFI DAC/AMP, can someone link me to it?

As far as I know, there isn’t a listing yet. The only reference to them is from the HeadFi CanJam NYC 2020 video where Jude briefly discussed them.

Other than that, I’ve seen photos from CanJam attendees.

Hmmm… A Drop version of the Zen? Wonder how they’re gonna make it compete.

Well it’s kind of a separate component.

There’s the balanced Drop DAC, that uses that less common Balanced 4.4.mm output along with more conventional RCA’s.

And the Drop CAN 6XX (Balanced amp) has the filter (an eq filter) for the Sennheiser Drop 6XX.

Okay, so this is splitting it into a stack, rather then a combo unit. I don’t know why you would have an eq filter for a singular pair of headphones, but to each their own.

I read somewhere there is a none massdrop version that won’t have it.

An official Campfire Solaris thread would be cool
