Just got CRA and confirmed, GET CRA instead.
VK4 wins nothing but with bass weight, ever so slightly.
VK4 sounds muddy and bleeds compared to CRA. CRA really does have impressive highs and a pretty clean but boomy bass.

Having had both VK4 and CRA for more than a year now, I keep coming back to the VK4. The reason is tonal balance. With Xelastec tips, the VK4 is basically what I consider neutral with bass boost, and slightly more incisive than normal treble. Yes it lacks some air and detail, but it sounds both natural and fun in a way that I havenât been able to find elsewhere.
The CRA initially sounds more detailed and definitely airy, but the treble is just too much, to the point that it pushes vocals too far back and sounds plainly V-shaped.
Also, I can âfixâ the VK4 air issue with simple EQ when I want, though mostly it just doesnât bother me enough to matter.
